Spectacular Gold Coast Skyline Views

Quaint, cosy property. Clean and comfortable. Our host was very accomodating when she found out we were under the impression it was a 2km walk to town for dinner and it’s actually about 10kms. She went out of her way to take us to the ‘local pub’ which was quite some distance from the property. We were travelling via motor bike so once in didn’t want to go out again at night. Liked the small extras like the available bottled water.

Distance to town was incorrectly stated. We stayed with another couple so bathroom access was limited due to the ‘ensuite’ type bathroom situation off the main bedroom. The property requires some maintenance with stained grouting in the bathroom and water stained ceilings in the 2nd bedroom. The property name differed to what was advertised on bookings which added to a bit of confusion when trying to find the property after dark.

Nice peaceful location and a cute character apartment on top floor of a a house.

The ad indicated there are three beds, two in bedrooms and a third sofa bed. There is even photos of three beds. I wrote to the venue prior to our stay to say we needed three beds and they said a folding bed would be available. This was not the case. There was only the two beds and no sofa bed. So my friend and I had to share…. Which was okay as it is only one night but disappointing a it was something we had specially wanted for our stay .

Bed was comfortable and view was amazing. Oil heaters were great.

There was an error with the booking system which meant that the 6bedrooms we had originally requested on Bookings.com, had offered this duplex house, that only had 3 bedrooms. The Bookings.com website somehow allowed us to purchase the same house twice, and over the same weekend. This left our group having to adjust our sleeping arrangements, given there was only 3 bedrooms (rather than the 6 we had needed). There is only 1 bathroom for the 3 bedrooms to share (it is the en-suite bathroom which is inside the master bedroom). There is only 1 air-conditioner which is also in the main bedroom, no other air con is available for the rest of the house.. There is no sink in the kitchenette, although the bathroom can be used to wash cutlery and dishes.. When we contacted Bookings.com regarding the error was, they offered a refund on 2nd house we had been charged for, however we were then asked to ‘pay the difference’ for the large group that were now crammed into the 3 bedroom house. We were not very pleased with this type of treatment given the error had occurred from the Bookings.com system, and yet, we were being asked to pay extra, due the the group. It wasn’t handled very well, unfortunately.
