Menexes Suites Monemvasia

The location is superb!! Close to the entrance of the castle and also close to the rocky beach inside the castle. All amenities and restaurants are very close, but the castle is quite small anyway. The Family Suite with balcony was EXCEPTIONAL!!! Extremely spacious, with 3 balconies, amazing views over the sea and town and we would come back without second thought!!! This was one of the highlights of our holidays.

The only issue was the "Junior Suite with garden view". For some (weird) reason it was more expensive than the Family Suite and we initially thought that it had something special... However, our experience was negative because it is nested like a cave (quite romantic), with some humidity and no physical light. We also had some issues with the A/C and the bathroom. In all honesty, the hosts were helpful and reimbursed us with a fair amount (thank you!!!).

The location was incredible. We loved eating our breakfast on the balcony overlooking the sea. The kitchen was well stocked and the room was spacious.

The air conditioning took forever to cool down the rooms. After the long walk from the parking lot, it would have been nice if the AC had been turned on before our arrival.

Die Lage nicht weit vom Stadttor, der "Hauptstraße" und dem kleinen Strand war super! Wir hatten die Suite 2 mit Terrasse und Ausblick. Es war ein liebevoll eingerichtetes Apartment mit allem, was man braucht inkl. Kaffee, Wasser und kleinem Willkommenskorb mit Wein und Saft. Ein bisschen frische Wandfarbe würde dem hübschen Apartment sehr gut stehen. Das Bad ist sehr klein, aber alles in allem ausreichend. Die Infos zum Finden der Unterkunft sendete der Host vorab, mit Text und Bildern, daher war es einfach, hinzufinden. Wir wären noch eine Nacht geblieben, leider war das Apartment schon vergeben. Der Host unterstützte uns sogar beim Finden einer anderen Unterkunft. Wir waren dennoch nur eine Nacht dort, was gereicht hat, um den besonderen Flair der Stadt zu atmen. Monemvasia ist sehr alt, die Straßen holprig, viele Häuser verfallen oder werden gerade renoviert. Gute Schuhe sind ein Muss und wer Probleme mit der Mobilität hat, sollte es ehrlich gesagt lieber meiden. Uns hat es in der Menexes Suites sehr gefallen, wir können die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen.

Ein bisschen frische Farbe an den Wänden im Bad wäre super.
