Appartement Moulleau - 3 étoiles - Welkeys

We loved the spaciousness of the apartment. The balcony was also excellent - it was great to have the large parasol for shade - and we enjoyed the daily birdsong from the nearby trees. The kitchen was well-equipped. The double bed was comfy and the shower was fantastic! The location was ideal - we enjoyed the pretty neighbourhood and we loved the proximity to the beach and to the local supermarkets.

Although we loved the trees, it did mean that we got bitten, so we didn't use the balcony in the evenings. The insects also meant that we didn't open the windows, which made it quite hot at night - the weather was good, but any hotter would have been unpleasant. We could have done with some chopping boards and sharper knives!

Le logement était spacieux, refait à neuf avec des équipements de très bonne qualité. Il était bien chauffé à notre arrivée et très propre. Il est situé dans un secteur résidentiel et boisé, les fenêtres sont neuves et permettent d'avoir une belle vue. On peut garer la voiture dans la cour.

It was spacious, and well equipped with glasses, crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils etc. It was a pleasant walk to the town and beach.

The wi-fi was patchy, and better if you sat in the bedroom. However, in the hot summer, with only one fan for the entire apartment, it was too hot to sit in the bedroom. There was no powder/pods for the dishwasher. When I rang the host to check arrangements for our arrival, she basically hung up on me. The helpful receptionist at our hotel in Bordeaux rang the host back and was told we could turn up when we liked; the key was under the mat, and only to communicate with the host by text in future. Not the 'personalised welcome' I was led to understand by the documentation I received.
