Great location with a view in a perfectly mid-century modern duplex that reeks of fabric softener

The location is amazing! Walking distance to shops and restaurants and has a view. The mid-century modern duplex is adorable and well appointed. The beds are comfortable and the place was very clean.

Do not stay here if you have allergies or sensitivities! The entire place reeked of fabric softener - Downy. It permeated everything. I experienced asthma, allergies, and rashes from the the excessive perfume on the sheets and towels. To the host: Please consider using hypoallergenic laundry soap with no dyes or perfumes and do not use fabric softeners so that guests with allergies, asthma, or lung disease can stay comfortably. It's such a beautiful location, I would love to come back, but cannot due to the allergens and irritants.

Centrally located and close to all Sedona attractions.

The Three Keys provided the size, comfort, and convenience to all of the activities and sites we enjoyed around Sedona. The kitchen was very well equipped for whatever one would use it for.........in our case a good breakfast to start each day. Uptown Sedona is a short walk from this home, and West Sedona is a short drive to the shops and restaurants located there.

Exasperating issues here

Location. Large space. On site parking

Hard-to-find/Incomplete instructions for using remote control for temperature in house. It was a little crazy that owners suggested we start a fire to get some heat since there weren't any instructions on the remote. Bright lights coming into upper windows in bedroom were so bright that I had to sleep on the couch. They refunded $75 out of $350 charge for one night due to all the issues. Don't stay here if you want to enjoy your time in Sedona.

An excellent stay is a super location.

The location is superb; the house has its own parking; it is 100 yards walk away from the main street in the middle of town; the main room and kitchen are excellently equipped, complete with a local guide and magazines; the arrival instructions were clear and helpful. Everything was great.

Great location, many comforts, but fragrance could be an issue for some.

The location was excellent. It was close enough to easily access both West Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon. Unfortunately, due to a rockfall, the road to the canyon was closed for our entire stay. But, West Sedona still abounds with beauty, hiking trails and lots to see and do. The rooms were spacious and large. The bed was very comfortable. I would have rated it higher except that the whole duplex smelled strongly of the fragrance in the laundry detergent, and it was the worst in the beds. The property manager did work with me quite a bit regarding removal of items that might hold a fragrance because I am very allergic to a lot of fragrances. The smell of the laundry detergent actually did not affect me much, but my friend also has issues with a lot of fragrances. She does not get as sick as I do with fragrances, but she did get a nose bleed one day from inhaling the fragrance and she found it really hard to be in the duplex due to the scent. This probably would not be an issue for most people, but it was for us. The property had SO MANY conveniences: plenty of condiments, salad dressings, towels, pillows, blankets, temperature control in each bedroom in addition to the heater that was in the living room. There were multiple comfortable couches, one in the dining area and one in the living room. The bathrooms offered plenty of hot water. The property manager was very responsive to messages sent via booking.com. The neighborhood was very quiet, and the view from the front porch area was stupendous. My husband LOVED the place and he thought it was the best place we had ever stayed in.

At one point a fuse/circuit breaker got tripped and I was surprised because we were not using anything unusual or even a lot of small things. I did call and the property manager told us how to find the box with the circuit breakers and electricity soon came back on. The fragrance issue is the main thing that kept me from giving the place an Exceptional rating. We did search the place to try to determine why the fragrance filled the whole place. The couch did not smell like it, but the air held the fragrance. We did find a bottle of laundry soap with a cap missing. So, we found something to cover that hole and placed the soap outside for the remainder of our stay, bringing it back in when we left. To the credit of the property manager, I did not ask questions about the laundry detergent because I don’t generally have issues with that and I did not know before this that my friend would have that issue. The property manager did work with me regarding the things I asked about. I would think that if an unscented laundry detergent were used, it would address a lot of possible issues for those with allergies or sensitivity to fragrances.

It was within walking distance of shopping and food choices. We also spent the day at Slide Rock State Park and it was only about 15 minutes away. The back patio was a great space to relax.

miscommunication with WiFi from booking. com and what is written on the “welcome to our home” plaque. had to reach out to property owners and what they wrote back was not correct. finally home owner said to view what is written on bottom of modem.. finally that was correct!!!!
