Villa Ermelinda

We recently booked Villa Ermelinda for a family reunion of 11 (9 traveling from the UK to join 3 already in Italy). On paper, this property ticked every single box on our wishlist: air-conditioned rooms, a private swimming pool, and close proximity to the beach. The villa is exceptionally spacious and comfortably accommodated our large group without everyone feeling on top of each other. The 4th bedroom is located outside with its own separate WC. While distinct from the main house, this setup worked well for us and didn't pose any issues. Having a private pool and quick access to the beach made it ideal for relaxing days at home between trips.

The appliances and general kitchenware are quite old and due for a modern refresh. The main bathroom shower drain was very slow to clear, which became inconvenient with a full house. The most frustrating part of the stay was the power constantly tripping out. We were given instructions on how to reset it upon arrival, which made it feel like a known, unresolved issue rather than a one-off event. A €250 security deposit was required for damages. However, the landlord only returned €150, claiming we used excessive electricity. While we did keep the air conditioning running while occupying the villa (as expected in peak summer), we spent the vast majority of our days out exploring Apulia. Losing €100 for AC usage of group of 11 felt unexpected and unreasonable.

Der Außenbereich ist wunderschön. Innenausstattung ist okay. Das Bad im Wohnbereich ist sehr modern und komfortabel.

Das zweite Bad befindet sich außerhalb des Wohnbereiches in einem kleinen Gebäude neben dem Pool und ist recht alt und einfach ausgestattet. Das vierte Schlafzimmer ist auch nicht im Hauptgebäude, sondern direkt neben dem Pool im Souterrain unter der Terrasse mit separatem Eingang.

Questa villa con piscina in Puglia è un vero paradiso di tranquillità. Immersa in un paesaggio pittoresco, offre un rifugio perfetto per chi cerca relax e comfort. Gli ampi spazi esterni, con giardino e una splendida piscina, invitano a trascorrere lunghe giornate sotto il sole pugliese. All'interno camere spaziose e una cucina ben attrezzata. La zona è particolarmente tranquilla, permettendo di godere della pace e della natura circostante. Ideale per famiglie o gruppi di amici, questa villa è il luogo perfetto per una vacanza indimenticabile.

Necessaria l’automobile per visitare i luoghi più affascinanti della regione.

Die Unterkunft war sehr geräumig und die Außenanlagen sehr schön.

Leider liegt das vierte Schlafzimmer nicht innerhalb des Hauses, sondern als extra Zimmer unter dem Pool. Auch das zweite Badezimmer liegt nicht innerhalb des Hauses, sondern in einem weiteren dritten Gebäude. Das ist so nicht im Inserat beschrieben worden. Wenn man mit Freunden und Kindern fährt, ist es sehr ungünstig, da man nachts vielleicht auch auf die Toilette muss und somit nicht in das Haupthaus kann und über das Grundstück laufen muss um die Toilette aufzusuchen. Es war leider nicht sehr sauber (Toilette, Küche, Geschirr)! Wir mussten erst mal einige Reinigungsarbeiten am Anreisetag durchführen.
