The proprietors of Portman Lodge went above and beyond to sort out issues with our booking. We were very grateful for this. The breakfast was excellent. The room was very comfortable and quiet. That they provide access to a dining room and kitchen for eating a takeaway evening meal is really good.

Very clean. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable bed. Access to real milk fora cuppa as well as tea/coffee making facilities in the room. A residents lounge to relax in away from your room. Kitchen area for guests with microwave and fridge, with table to sit and eat at. So, very generous facilities :)
We couldn’t get the shower to be warm - when adjusting heat it went from cold to hot. That was the only issue though.
