The Present River Villa Hoi An

The room was better than expected, the staff were amazing, but the pool area wasn't as good as I imagined it to be, to be honest, the location was great, super central to the main hub, perfect for shopping, restaurants, old town, and the lantern festival. Staff member Hang was so helpful; she helped me to book the My Son Sanctuary tour and organised the driver and tour guide, who were wonderful. She also encouraged us to see the Memory Show, which was absolutely wonderful. I'm so glad I took the opportunity to see it, truly spectacular. I loved Hoi An, but we only had three days there and needed longer. We stayed longer in Da Nang, but we preferred Hoi An.

It was very hot and humid in Hoi An, multiple changes of clothes, cool showers, and rests during the day to cool down were much needed, which meant we were not able to do as much each day as we had hoped.

The cleanliness of the villa is nice. Room service is pretty nice. Everything is clean and nicely designed. We stayed in 401, the view was like 8/10 straight to the old town, room a bit small but still clean and cool.

The mosquitoes are the thing that bother us the most here since the place is right by the river. The bed was comfy and big but it was 2 small mattresses put together without the holding of the bed frame so they keep moving around and have a gap in the middle. No wardrobe.

Love this little gem. Hannah on the front desk was just amazing and so helpful, nothing was a hassle. She organised a cooking class for us which was the best. It was so convenient to the old town and many restaurants and bars. Rooms were spacious and we had a huge balcony which overlooks the canal and streets. The pool was small but so refreshing after a long hot day. There are free bikes to use which we rode to the beach. Flat ride and about 20 minutes, well worth it.

The hotel is in the perfect location, >5 minute walk to the old town. The free bicycles are helpful. Comfy bed.

The location did mean it was rather noisy until the early morning. Our room was situated right next to building works that the hotel failed to inform us meaning we were being woken up at 7am our entire stay. The cleaner failed to lock the room door, and with no safe, anyone could have taken our valuables.
