I had a wonderful time at Kayan Guest House, which provided everything I needed for a budget-friendly stay. Staying on Elephantine Island was pleasant, and I liked coming back to the quiet village after a day outdoors. The best part was the breakfast included, which gave me plenty of energy for the day ahead. Don't forget to tip the lady who prepares the breakfast. Unfortunately, I fell victim to a scam on the island, where I paid 2000 EGP for a trip to Abu Simbel, unaware that the guesthouse offered the same tour for half the price. Scams and people taking advantage of you occur in Aswan, just like in Luxor. However, I managed to visit all the museums and sites I had planned. This hostel felt like a safe haven for me.

I had some trouble with the locks, and a few mosquitoes got in at night, but this is pretty normal along the Nile. I was happy with my stay.

Emplacement vraiment top et tranquille sur l'ile elephantine, chambre confortable toilette et salle de bain propre et pratique, et ventilo et clim au besoin ☀️ et tout ca chez une famille incroyablement gentille et accueillante !
