We had to amend our booking at the last minute as I was had a leg injury and was on crutches so couldn’t drive. Jacqueline was very accommodating and assisted us in making our booking one week later than planned. We stayed for three weeks and visited many wonderful locations Normandy has to offer. Caudebec-en- Caux has everything that you need on a daily basis from speciality shops for bread, cheeses and cafes to a two super markets. We loved Rouen and Honfleur which were both about 50 minutes away by car. Overall we had a very peaceful, relaxing holiday in a lovely home. The cute cottage has everything we needed for modern living- dishwasher, oven, microwave, tv etc. All bedding and towels were provided too. Thank you Jacqueline we had a wonderful stay!

We had a very pleasant stay at this quirky octagonal cottage. It is in a little hamlet up a long lane so was very quiet. The owners house was closer than it seems in the photos but she left us to ourselves unless we needed something. The lane to the Le Gibet is narrow but is one way so you don't have to worry about meeting another car going up. Entering the lane going up the hill is fine as its on the right. But care needs to be taken if turning left into it as its just after a bend, is quite a sharp turn & cars belt around the corner. The cottage was well equipped with a decent washing machine that was easy to use & a dishwasher which I did not use. The beds were very firm which was ok for us but the pillows really need renewing as they were quite lumpy. The linen was lovely & clean & there was enough for a change of bedding - not something we always get. Once we had one set for a month! I always take at least a set now just in case. There were towels available but we had our own. The tv was a good size but only French programmes available. We take our hard disc recorder & if you run the tv through that some of the US programmes are in English (but in French if just on the tv!). We can then watch recorded stuff as well. Obviously you need to take the appropriate connectors - don't ask me - the husband sorts all that out! We were there during the notorious heatwave & the house stays relatively cool as the windows are small & the floor is tiled. Upstairs got very hot & a couple of fans would've been nice. The heat was exceptional though. A full size mirror would also be gd so I could see what I looked like before venturing out - a personal quirk perhaps. There is a very small store in St Arnoult & a few shops in Caudebec-en-Caux but the best place to shop is Yvetot. On the ring rd there is a Lidl, an Aldi & a large Leclerc with a petrol station. We found a lovely leisure park at Le Mesnil sous Jumieges with lots of activities for children, a beach with swimming & a lovely little cafe which did an excellent meal deal. The fish & chips is highly recommended. We went twice as it was so good. Most of our travelling was to car boot sales (which we love) so we visited lots of out of the way villages. If you're interested they can be found on a site called Brocabrac - put in 76 for Seine Maritime & They're listed by date. All in all we had a lovely holiday here.

We had a great time staying in the roundhouse. The location is a perfect combination of being in a quiet country setting but with access to a nice town - Caudebec En Caux. The house itself was spacious and well appointed, especially the kitchen. We found the pillows a little uncomfortable though this is a minor point - I would return and bring one from home! The array of animals living on the grounds were brilliant and we made friends with little Jade the cat who was super sweet. Highly recommend!

Lots of character. Upstairs and downstairs toilet. Beds on the firm side. Linen and towels provided. Other furnishings very comfortable. Could do with a new BBQ. Wifi not very good. Overall very good though. There is a very friendly local cat. Situated not far from town. Large supermarkets at yainville. Pleasant area. Amphitheatre at lillebonne was brilliant.
