Wonderful spacious, clean, comfortable home in a great location. Listing was very accurate, so we knew to expect the use of fans and open windows to keep cool, and the resulting occasional island critters that enhanced the experience (loved the little geckos honestly!). Views from the master deck are wonderful, and we enjoyed many breakfasts and sunsets on the back patio. So many beautiful and almost friendly birds visited, including the built in Kaua’i alarms (chickens lol) - bring earplugs if you don’t want to hear them at 4am. Some of the beach gear needs replacing/updating, but it was nice to have access to it, and the convenient setup in the driveway and garage for keeping things clean and hung to dry. Beds were really comfortable, pillows could be better. Loved the sectional and the overall downstairs layout for the family. Main master suite is enormous, but be sure to note it is upstairs. Loved the shower and tub. Overall a great time and would stay there again!

Great house for 6-8 people. Lots of common space to hangout after long days of exploring, great outdoor table area for everyone to gather for meals as well. Plan on buying food storage containers for leftovers if you need, there is only one or two very small containers at the house.

Had such a wonderful time at Akai Palms for family getaway! Beautiful home- well equipped, clean, great location close to beaches! Would love to come back one day!!

We rented for a family vacation and the house and location was great. It had entertainment for all ages, the ping pong table and fuse ball table were a big hit. And the kitchen was the perfect size to cook big dinners. We enjoyed sitting on the back patio and the kids loved playing and exploring in the backyard and connecting greenbelt area. I would recommend this house for family vacation.
