Perfectly situated near Madison, the University of Wisconsin, Stoughton, and McFarland, our cottage offers a harmonious blend of peaceful seclusion and convenient access to local attractions. Wake up to stunning sunrises over the water and unwind with picturesque sunsets from the comfort of your private deck.
The space
Lake Access - The property offers pier access seasonally, typically from Memorial Day through Labor Day, please confirm with us. Boat launch located less than 1 mile away at Fish Camp County Park.
Lake Use - Lake and ice conditions vary, please contact us for up-to-date condition reports based on the WI Department of Natural Resources.
Guest access:
Access to the full cottage and sauna/change room, with exception of one locked storage closet. No garage access available.
Indoor Fireplace - The fireplace is not currently operational, so guests will not able to use at this time.
Outdoor Firepit - Guests can use the outdoor firepit. Guests can purchase wood from any nearby gas station.

Your health and safety are important to us! Please know that we clean/disinfect frequently touched surfaces and all linens prior to each check-in and provide single-use items for your convenience.

Rustic, but clean and cozy with all needed amenities. The view from the living room makes you feel like you’re sitting right on the water. Great patio to watch the lake and enjoy cocktails. A multitude of birds - ducks, geese, swallows, hawks and blue herons. Easy communication with the owners and a quiet peaceful neighborhood. Highly recommend!

We stayed here to visit family in the area. The cottage is so cute with all the nicest touches for a great week away. The hosts were so thoughtful - they’ve thought of everything. Location is great - close to town yet peaceful and serene. There’s a new bike path nearby that is amazing. Highly recommend!
The only downside is that Kegonsa Lake and the others in the area were thick green with algae when we were there in September. We fished but didn’t keep anything.

This cabin has a historical feel and touch with all the modern convinces. The location is perfect on the shore of a very scenic lake. We loved our time there

We highly recommend this wonderful cottage. It is clean, comfortable, well-equipped, and has a great view of Lake Kegonsa. The sauna was a nice treat after a long day, as well. The hosts were very generous with a later checkout to accommodate our toddler's schedule. We hope to stay again someday!
