Private Pool Villa by the Sea

We stayed in this sleek, modern studio for eight days and were extremely happy with our choice. Although a little smaller than we had envisaged, it had everything we needed to make sure our stay was most enjoyable. The bathroom was bright, very clean and convenient in its layout, and the accessories made available to us were spot on. The kitchenette had everything we needed to prepare a few basic meals for when we didn’t go out. This included a pod coffee machine, which is always a bonus in my book! Our host, Francis, also ensured we had a bit of a starter pack such as coffee pods, tea bags, sugar, salt, pepper and oil, which was a really nice touch and saved having to think about any shopping for our first night and morning. The bed was very comfortable too, which meant for a good night’s sleep. What sold this place for us, though, was the serenity of the garden and pool area. The pool was perfect and made all the more so as it was surrounded by a beautiful and extremely well cared for garden. Honestly, it was like an oasis! Yet the beach, four very decent tavernas, and a mini market were only a few minutes’ walk away. And venturing out to Kalamata Old Town was simple enough; either by a four minute drive or (approx. €5) taxi ride. What really did tie this all together was the care Francis took in ensuring our comfort and happiness. This included excellent communication with us, whenever necessary, to ensure our needs were catered for. All in all, I highly recommend this place, especially if you want to be a little away from the hustle and bustle but still close enough to be spontaneous about getting out and about. We would stay here again, without doubt.

Mooie accommodatie, in stijl ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien. Centrum is te lopen, vlakbij een strand. Let op: je deelt de vila met de eigenaar. Eigenaar is vriendelijk.

Kamer is wat aan de kleine kant. Er hangen onwijs veel camera's in en rondom het huis. Je hebt buiten in de tuin daardoor weinig (echte) privacy.

First of all, the owner was very kind and he welcome us nicely. Even if the room was the guest house and the owner was living in the other, he was very nice with us and he tried to make us feel like home. The room was clean, perfect and we had everything we need. The bed very comfortable. The location very nice. We had the beach in front of the house and it’s almost 5 minutes from the centre.
