Loft 1872 in the heart of the Wagner city of Bayreuth

A former barn and wine bistro has been converted to a very high-end two-story apartment. Beautiful open space, well furnished, lovely garden terrace and a gourmet kitchen (just no oven) in a very quiet, yet central setting. Five minutes walk take you into the historic town centre of Bayreuth. The two bedrooms upstairs are small and fit just the bed and two bedside tables, but there is plenty of storage space outside the bedrooms. Beds are 180 x 200 cm in one bedroom, 160 x 200 cm in the other one. One bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower and a sink on the upper floor and three separate toilets are available (one on upper floor, two on ground floor). There is another apartment on the top floor with its own entrance, which was rented out to a family during our stay. Parking is to be paid separately (10 Euros per day), and is available at a private parking lot directly opposite of the house. The owners were very easy to communicate with, very helpful and live close by. There was a bit of a surprise when we used the place as two couples for a portion of the weeklong stay: please be aware that the (expensive) booking fee covers only two people! Additional people are charged at 60 Euros per person per night (you might as well consider booking a hotel room; at least that would provide you with a second bathroom and shower…). Otherwise, a great experience.
