"Very clean, surprisingly spacious bathroom. Perfect for 2 guys/gals and a couple with the bunk beds and double-wide futon. Not the nicest area, but it's wonderfully close to everywhere you need to be."

The apartment is in a strange part of town, and feels kind of like a prison. You need three separate codes to open three different doors, and the apartment itself is... industrial? All concrete floors, no decorations, just the bare minimum of functional furniture. HOWEVER: It turns out the neighborhood is up and coming, with good restaurants nearby, and getting anywhere is simple because it's easy to jump on a highway. So even though it's not the coziest place I've ever stayed, I'd go back! Check out the Dough Zone, the Vertical Diner, and Lucky 13!

If you are looking for a cheap place to stay and don't mind very basic amenities, this is it. The apt is up 2 small flights of stairs from the lobby with NO ELEVATOR ACCESS (despite description). The walls are paper-thin, and the people upstairs sounded like they were stomping around at night. There are no rugs on the concrete floors, which would've been nicer on late night bathroom runs. The apt does have a stocked kitchen (dishes and cookware), and a small dishwasher, which is helpful. For what I paid, it was sufficient.

The communication with the host was not great from the beginning. They told me I had to call them to set up the stay but VRBO blocks phone numbers. It looked like ***-***-****. So we went back and forth about that for a while with them telling me they would cancel the stay if I didn’t call them. Somehow I got booked but I should have seen it as a red flag. The lobby/elevator issue was confusing so I walked up the stairs. My biggest complaint is that the apartment hallway fire alarm kept chirping and I asked if the host can contact someone to change the batteries. I specifically booked this stay because it was pet friendly. However, my dog is super sensitive to the fire alarm chirping noise and he was a nervous wreck all night panting and shaking so neither of us slept. It looks like perhaps there is no one walking through the apartment to check if things are actually working correctly. The time on the oven and microwave were blinking. Stuff like that to made it feel like no one actually checks on the apartment except to clean it. It did look very clean.I also marked 3 people to stay in the apartment but I only saw 2 towels in the bathroom and the bunk bed was so shaky I didn’t feel comfortable sleeping on the top bunk.I booked the stay from Thursday to Sunday but I left Friday afternoon because the chirping would not stop. The neighborhood was difficult to park in but thankfully I have a small car that fits into very tight spaces. There was a dog sidewalk poop station.
