Out stay was perfect. Nothing to complain. Nicole is a very nice host and welcomed us with some homemade goodies. The house is situatied in a absolutely calm area, just a few km away from Coutances and perfect sandy beaches, and located centrally e.g. to explore Cotentin, Mont Saint Michel, Granville or also Bayeux. If you look for a quiet spot in a typical Nomady farmhouse, we can fully recommend this one.

We had a great week staying in this lovely cottage. The children especially loved the big garden. The house was very clean and peaceful . We found lots of lovely walks and places to visit in the area. The only issue we had is that the VRBO listing suggests the house has a hot tub, which it doesn't but this seems to be a problem with the VRBO site and is not the owners fault, of course the children were a bit disappointed!

This cottage is lovely, very well equipped, spotlessly clean, warm and welcoming. The fire was roaring when we arrived which was a real treat for us and the dog. Nicole is very hospitable and treated us to some homemade jam and cider as well as brioche - all of which were unexpected and delicious. In our short stay, we have appreciated the walking, the seaside, the market at Hauteville and the tranquility of not doing anything. Thanks for everything, we will be back.

Our stay was great. We enjoyed it very much. The house is even more beautiful than in the pictures. The house and the great garden, everything is arrangend with much taste and love to detail.The hosts are super friendly and even helped us to book a riding trip for our daughter. There are several beaches that you can reach within 10 to 15 minutes by car. The surrounding landscape is really pretty and we explored it with the bikes that were at the house. The house is perfectly located for trips or sightseeing in Normandie. We will definitely come back. Thanks Nicole and Bernard for this wonderful holiday.

Overall we had a lovely time exploring the area and found a beach that we could take the dog on to. The farmhouse is under rated in my opinion, much better than 3*, in a really lovely spot & very quiet. Loved our stay in this really well appointed Gite, photos don't do it justice. Real quality fixtures & fittings in a no expense spared restoration of an old farm building in to spacious holiday accommodation. Very quiet & enjoyed use of the huge shared garden. Host & her family very friendly & helpful although I wish I remembered more of my GCSE French from 30 years ago. Nice area not very touristy which we liked. All you need nearby in Coutances an authentic French town & beaches 15 mins drive. Only slight niggle was confusion on check in as we tried to get in to the wrong house as Vrbo check in confirmation & advert confiding as had photos of another house & owner had gone out so didn't answer calls but partly our fault for late arrival after Eurotunnel delays. Also lots of flies & silage smell from nearby farmland but it is Normandie so to be expected, just a shame as meant couldn't spend much time outside on patio. Nets in windows & door, fly swats or citronella candles would have been useful. Otherwise couldn't fault this property & thoroughly recommended, much better than we expected & better value than UK.

The appartment is very clean and very well equiped. The rural environment in which the appartment is located is very quiet, yet you are only a few minutes drive from numerous beaches. The very pleasant and friendly hosts live just a block away, which gives a sense of security, and adds to the perception of feeling at home. Short excursions of approximately an one hour drive are the D-day beaches and Mont Saint Michelle. In the area there are some nice villages to visit including a number of worthwhile restaurants.

A great relaxing holiday. Excellent surroundings, facilities and a comfortable stay. The owners are lovely and are on site to advise and help. There are plenty of things to do around the property and the nearby restaurants were great and value for money. The scenery is fabulous and we loved Coutances. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience. This is our second visit to this property and would definitely come again.

We were there for four lovely nights. The location is perfect - close to everything but still away from the hustle and bustle of a big city. Our kids (6 and 9) loved playing in the garden and we loved the spacious house. The owners were very helpful and met our every need. We hope to return soon!

Firstly I would have to say that the photos of the house on the website do not do the place justice. It is much more modern and brighter than it appears. We were only there for 3 days as a stopping off point on the way back to the UK. Unfortunately the weather let us down, however Nicole immediately lit the log fire for us and it was a pleasure to find that the beds had already been made up. We were only a couple, however she had made up both rooms. We had chosen to sleep in the room with the 2 single beds pushed together which gave us a bigger bed as the second room is just an ordinary double. The kitchen was fully equipped. There was plenty of local information on areas of interest, walks and restaurants. Her husband even came with breakfast of brioche each day and helped us with the heating. When we left, there was nothing for us to do but to leave the key in the door. I would certainly recommend the place for both short stopovers and longer stays as the house is very comfortable and there is room to eat outside. It is just a shame the weather prevented us from doing so. Both Nicole and her husband who live nearby are on hand to help are very helpful gracious hosts.

We have spent a week in this beautiful stone house surrounded by the lush green rural Normandy countryside. It has everything you may ever want on your holiday: a long table for family meals, very comfortable beds (one double and two single) to retire at night. Satellite tv with French and international channels to watch Euro 2016. There are two toilets and lovely bathroom with shower. Well equipped kitchen with an oven, microwave and dishwasher. You can use washing machine and a tumble dryer if necessary. There is a shed with four bicycles and in a few minutes you can be on the beach or cycle down country lanes. Or you can walk if this is your thing . Have I mentioned lovely roses outside kitchen window? Within one hour drive you will find all the places you ever wanted to see: Mt St Michel, D-Day landing beaches, Camembert factory or cider producing farm. Umbrellas in Cherbourg anyone? Or sea world. Bakery and butcher in a nearby village. Supermarket 15 mins away driving. Lovely restaurants in Coutanville. Nicole and her husband were always happy to chat and give any advice re what to see, restaurants etc. On arrival we found homemade cider on the table and next morning bread and brioche for breakfast. This place is a gem, we will only tell our friends and relatives and of course we will be back as soon as we can.
