OCEANFRONT Waves — Sea Isle Hills Dr. — Say hello to WAVES GOOD-BYE, the perfect vacation retreat with ocean views that will stay with you long after you do, indeed, bid them farewell. With direct access over the protective dunes to the beach, this four-bedroom/two-full and one-half-bath home has everything a family needs to relax, restore and reconnect in casual, intimate surroundings.
Discover ample parking under the house and plenty of room to store the bikes you bring with you. There’s a convenient half bathroom and outdoor shower there, too, along with a lighted fish cleaning table and a charcoal grill to cook up your fresh catch. One flight of steps up leads you to the first level where you will find laundry facilities and all of the home’s four bedrooms. Three of those bedrooms — a queen master with ensuite bath, and two additional queen bedrooms — all have private access to the ocean-facing deck and a five-person hot tub. The final bedroom, a queen, has direct access to a shared hallway bath. All of the bedrooms feature large screen Smart TVs.
The home’s second level is a newly furnished communal space that invites your family to enjoy each other’s company in spacious surroundings. A well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to whip up meals that can be served at the four-seat breakfast counter, around an eight-seat dining table and an extra four-seat round table that can double as a game space. The great room features an ample sectional sofa with a large Smart TV, although your eyes may be drawn to the view of the ocean just outside. Step out onto the deck, sink into one of the new deck chairs and drink it all in. Elevate that view even more by ascending the indoor spiral staircase to a bonus loft area, the perfect cozy space to settle in with a good book. The loft features a sofa bed, Smart TV, and sliding glass doors leading to yet another viewing-party deck. Don’t let another day go by without booking WAVES GOOD-BYE for the vacation of a lifetime.

The house is a classic Outer Banks beach house in a terrific location. The bedrooms are all on one level and of decent size. The main level is wide open which is terrific for hanging out as a family/with friends. The decks are all newish and in really good condition. There is a bonus loft up the spiral staircase that makes for an excellent spot to wake up and have your coffee with the sunrise.
Only two downsides: 1) While I left with one kid the property management group came by and were entering the property without notice while my wife was nursing our infant. He told her he had a magnet to put on the fridge and had waited till I left thinking we all were gone. A touch unsettling. 2) Don’t count on any pantry items. Plan on bringing your own salt and pepper/seasoning, coffee filters, dishwasher soap etc. The kitchen is really well appointed otherwise!
Overall, a splendid place. Don’t love the property management letting themselves in while wife a baby are home alone, but that company runs nearly all the rentals in the area.
