we were looking for a place that was away from the hustle of the city but not so far as to be inconvenient. The place delivered. It is on the foothills of Mt Wheeler and so it had great view oh the mountains and the valley to the east.

Clean modern home with incredible views from every window. Kitchen and bedrooms are perfect. Living room has the most uncomfortable furniture ever produced. PLEASE upgrade this. No comfortable seating can be found. Hot tub was a nice way to relax. Rental could provide instructions on use of hottub (control panel doesn’t respond) and instructions for hearing the home (fireplaces are not for use) caretaker is very responsive and friendly. Appreciated him. Overall we enjoyed our stay

The house itself and the location were both beautiful. Close to town, but in a quiet, walkable neighborhood with great views. The house itself was nice, however it was clear that it had seen better days. Dirty walls, spider webs, dated decor, unswept patios, a broken microwave, etc. With some proper TLC the place would be much better. Also note, if staying in the summer, the house gets HOT and there is no way to cool it down. At one point it was over 90 inside. We come from a place where climate control is standard in homes and were not aware that there was no A/C, which is not mentioned on the listing. Also, if you have chemical sensitivites, this is not the place for you. There was so much air freshener and cleaning fluid in the home it took a couple of days to air it out.
