We stayed in a double room, so we also had a private bathroom, which we liked. It’s certainly great value especially with the current prices in Argentina. The location is great. We had three active days visiting all famous parts of the city: La Boca, San Telmo, Puerto Madero, Recoleta we walked everywhere and there is also public transport right outside if you don’t like walking. Providing free water and veggies was a nice touch!

Nothing that I strongly disliked, but there are some things that could be improved about the communal kitchen: the lights were weird and made it unpleasant to be in the kitchen; the trash can should be bigger if people are not allowed to eat in the rooms because most of our trash simply didn’t fit in that tiny trash can. The last night of our stay, some people were partying until 3 am and that kept my husband up the night before our flight

+ very close (100 metres) to metro station indepencia and San Telmo. The location is awesome! + tiny kitchen with free vegetables, it is okay for cooking + free fruits and coffee in the morning + you can work in the common area + mostly friendly and English speaking staff + doing bed every day, clean

- if you are in BA for party stay in palermo They gave me the wrong bed because guests changed before and I returned one day to find another women in my bed 😂… was although not so happy that they just put my things in the other bed. Also no apology for that… but all good in the end

The hostel is very well located, provides free fruit and veggies, and most of the staff there is friendly and helpful. Our stay here could have been great, if it hadn't come with a line of inconveniences and annoyances.

We are traveling for many months now, and are not picky at all regarding our accommodations, but there was a bit too much on the negative site here. We had upfront reconfirmed that our booking price included all taxes and fees (except city tax) and the chosen payment method (Wise transfer) won't cause any surcharges. However, upon check-in we were asked to pay 20% more than the price stated in our booking confirmation, for a reason the staff in charge could not elaborate about, only stating that they had this issue before. It all appeared rather random. We ultimately were able to resolve this by switching to cash payment, which however required us to get sufficient cash in the first place. After check-in they handed us a sheet of paper to be read which contained a long list of quite strict 'rules and policies' applicable in the hostel. Some of them sounded quite weird and from our experience some of them were not enforced or adhered to. For instance it clearly stated that there are daily checks and cleanings of the rooms, however ours wasn't checked or cleaned once during our stay! We emptied the tiny bathroom trash bin ourselves several times. Also it stated that there are quiet hours with absolute silence, which however were regularly ignored including by the staff/volunteers working there. We didn't mind the noise, but were wondering why having a long list of 'rules' when they are not applied anyway? Most annoying however, during our first night we discovered that there were BEDBUGS in our room (twin room with private bathroom), crawling on the bed, the floor and the wall. One of us got bitten several times, which not only led to a sleepless night, but also to severe itching and discomfort! We documented everything with pictures, caught some of the bugs and reported this to the reception first thing in the morning.
