The way the apartment looked (as in design), the bed was pretty comfortable and the exterior balcony was a nice plus. Would have given a higher score and not say anything if not for the email received a day before checking out (read the cons comment)

The fact that it was not actually clean when we arrived as we found an empty bottle under the bathroom sink, had to vacuum the kitchen and living area, dedust the staircase and scrub the kitchen table (picture attached). The "how to get in" instructions are useless as none of the 2 intercoms worked as the doors up to apartment were open, we only needed the instructions for the black box. If you wanted to plug your charger out of the electrical socket, the socket would come out as well. Plus the fact that a day prior to checking out, I got an e-mail stating that I may be charged an extra 20-50€ "Extraordinary cleaning fee"?? After I have already paid 38€ when booking it for cleaning and had to do it ourselves? Yeah that ain't gonna fly and will contact booking.com for this as the email has been sent separately to my address, not through booking. Also there was no mention of this anywhere in the policies as I read every little detail. And another detail that some may find useful as there is no picture of it, the entrance door is an old one that has windows in the center which could be easily broken and unlock the door from the outside if the keys are left in the door, I thought some would find this unsafe so better to know beforehand. Should actually give some attention to details before having the audacity to mention (separately from booking) any extra fees.
