I imagined this property as a B & B with a few of guests, sitting round at breakfast discussing their days out in Normandy, If you read ‘about this property’ on Booking.com, it has, which I know now is a mis-leading phrase, ‘Each room includes bathrobes, a hairdryer, and a shower’, there is only one shower and that was not working as it should, with one double room and one child’s room, each side of it. I booked after reading the first 6 to 8 reviews, nobody mentioned it was someone’s house and you were staying in their loft. The stats also swayed it for me they were better than most in this area and, are a bit higher than they deserve to be, in mine and my companions opinion. If I’d read on in the reviews, I would have come across one, from a Canadian chap, that was in my mind a correct review on this property, yes, it did have a very strong dog smell, but not upstairs fortunately enough. The breakfast was okish but not a ‘very good one’ as described on this site. There were other small problems, but I’d be knit picking if I went into them, but will say some parts of this property, bathroom being one of them, need to be updated. However, there is some good news the owner was helpful and did his best to communicate with us and our schoolboy French, property is set in a big space and was not expensive, it is also not far from a beautiful village. We found that the bar opposite the church was the best for a drink, and the Ch’tinormand is to be avoided as a couple of drinks their can set you back more than a meal with drinks elsewhere. Talking of food try the Le Cohibar tucked away in the corner of the square food and service are excellent.

The dog smell was off putting, and the bathroom needs up dating. Mis-leading description on Booking.com, see above.
