Excellent, relaxing break

Owners of the property are very lovely and go above and beyond in ensuring you have a good time - including providing vegan treats as I mentioned I was vegan!! Lovely prosecco left for our anniversary. Warm and cosy hut. Excellent fire pit and bean bags. Amazing views. Brilliant hot tub - one of the best I've been in! Everything you need for a couple of nights in the kitchen. Very comfortable bed. Great location with loads to do nearby.

Only negative is it really is small in both huts - but we knew this when booking!

We go away every October to celebrate our wedding anniversary, we have stayed all over and in different styles of accomm

Absolutely everything, this place was something else. Amazing quality beautifully decorated, everything was considered. The washing machine and tumble dryer was a godsend with the 2 fur babies. The hot tub was a lovely touch and even better that it was under cover and then there was the Sauna which is not for me but the Husband loves them so spent some time everyday in here.

Perfect relaxing hide away

We stayed in the Lodge which was like a home away from home- beautifully decorated, very clean, and has everything you need. Don’t usually visit the same place twice but this will be an exception! We have never had a more peaceful break, and only 10 minutes drive away from a lovely town with cute shops and a supermarket. Our welcome basket was tailored to be vegan which was so kind! We walked in to a loaf of piping hot fresh sourdough, home made jams, and a load of fresh veg from the kitchen garden 😍 also a home grown bouquet.. everything was so thoughtful. The stargazing left us speechless and we slept like babies, everything was so comfortable. We never wanted to leave and would be happy to stay at any time of year - I imagine it’s lovely and cosy over the colder months. 100% recommend it exceeded our expectations 🥰

What an amazing location! We stayed in the shepherd huts which were so cosy and sweet, perfect for a romantic get away especially with the log burner 🔥. The main highlight, the view... it is breathtaking and so peaceful with the sound of the local sheep, cows and birds. I would highly recommend the 7 acre walk, it is the perfect way to take in the scenery and fresh air 🌳. There is a huge private hot tub as well as a firepit outside perfect for sitting around watching the sunset or a spot of stargazing! 🌟 Overall a 10 out of 10 and the hosts are incredible, they went above and beyond, they even left a bottle of bubbly for our anniversary as well as lots of local goodies to make our visit special, and we will definitely be returning!

Tucked away in the middle of nowhere, your own little haven, very chilaxin, cosy, ample facilities, luxuries with the hot tub, looking out onto the fields & hills, raising a glass to the sheep, and not far from Welshpool

Thank you to the hosts for sharing your little slice of tranquility with us. Everything was to a high standard, the property was very secluded but only a 10 minute drive to the local town of Welshpool which has everything you need. It was such a peaceful get away, hot tub was lovely and clean and looked out onto the rolling fields of neighbouring farms and the sheep were interested to say hi! Kitchen was well equipped and was the perfect place to enjoy the little hamper of goodies that the hosts leave for you :) Sitting area was cosy and the log fire would be lovely on a winters evening (we went at the start of August so there was no need to use it) The bedroom was comfy and hearing the bird songs in the early morning was just magical, we sure had some very peaceful sleeps here. The bathroom again was fully equipped and the walk in shower had good pressure. Brilliant communication from the hosts, they sent over relevant and interesting information needed for both the property and local things to do. Highly recommend this stay to anyone looking, we sure will be back and have told all our friends and family about how exceptional Upper Gelli Lodge is.

Amazing stay and fantastic views

Amazing property, everything was well designed and extremely clean and comfortable! Loved seeing so much wildlife from pheasants and lambs to red kites. And those views are stunning, pictures do not do it justice! Bryn was very welcoming and was nearby should we have needed anything! Such thoughtful touches included too, such a lovely place!

Perfect for a romantic getaway especially if you love nature, wildlife and amazing views.

We had the most amazing stay in The Shepherds Huts, very cosy and well furnished with lots of little finishing touches. The kitchen had everything we needed and even came with a little goodie basket of local and fresh produce (Yum). The hot-tub was undercover at the side of the main hut, with a fantastic view and privacy in the fenced-off garden which kept our dog happy. Bryn met us at the gate and showed us around, very welcoming and was available for any questions via WhatsApp.

Our only suggestions: There is a lack of storage for clothes (although we were OK living out of our bags). Colour coding the keys would be a good idea, and a small outside brush so we could move the leaves from the hot tub area and steps.

Overall wonderful and peaceful stay, we didn’t want to leave.

The location was perfect, we wanted to be away from the city, the noise and hustle. We got there and it was so peaceful. The property itself was well thought out and clean. I even got a surprise birthday cake and decor. We had everything we needed. Annelise and Bryn were super friendly, they gave us lots of information prior to our stay and we were able to communicate with them easily if we needed anything.

Perfect weekend

Perfect home from home, everything you need, comfortable and cosy, the host was amazing, went above and beyond for the special touch to celebrate my partners birthday, little welcome package of fresh bread, milk and eggs is something we never expected and it was so lovely, it's clean, it's warm and we didn't leave the lodge all weekend, apart from watching the sunset in the hot tub, perfect romantic location and will most definitely be returning

The bliss 🥰 everything in Upper Gelli Lodge was choosen with love to make you comfortable. The place comes with two bedrooms, a full equipped kitchen aaaand...Jacuzzi. Soaking in the hot water with a view to lush green hills really made our day after driving through stunnung Snowdonia. Bryn and Annelise Annelise are great hosts and supplied us with treats und Tipps where to drive. Worth every penny, would go there again anytime 😁👍

The perfect stay for a peaceful weekend.

The property was so beautiful, with stunning views and the perfect base to explore the area! KR Bryn and Annelise could not have been more helpful, they left us a lovely welcome hamper and gave us lots of advise of local favourites and also the best way to see the sunset from the top of their field. From the fire pit, views, to the friendly neighbours in the field next door :) we can’t wait to return next year and make more memories.

Well what can I say , our weekend away has been fabulous and we really didn't want to come home . We had such an amazing time for my partners birthday I even made her my fiancee. This is the perfect romantic getaway or even Time away to relax and forget about the world. Sitting there watching the sunset over the amazing views with logs burning in the log burner, relaxing in the hot tub or even the sauna these hosts have thought of everything to make your stay amazing and unforgettable. We even got given champagne 🍾 to celebrate our engagement , that was such a nice overwhelming gesture it made my partner cry . Even put up birthday balloons and banners for our stay . I could go on and on like the complimentary local produce and wine as a gift we made breakfast with . This place I'll definitely be returning to and would recommend to everyone 💯 percent

The Bach was one of the most relaxing places we have ever stayed. The Bach was very spacious and had every facility we could have wished for. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed and gifted a basket of local treats. The hot tub was very relaxing, and although we never used the sauna it was good that it has a bathroom located so you didn’t have to go back to the main property. The views were stunning. We happened to stay on the most perfect summer’s day, and you could take in the natural beauty from every perspective. Bryn, our host, was very attentive and helped us with directions to the local supermarkets and steam railway. Overall, it was the perfect place to relax and we didn’t want to leave! We will definable be booking again!

Very peaceful location with glorious views over the valley. Hot tub and sauna made for a super relaxing stay. Very well equipped, full of towels and all sorts of things. Welcome hamper and lovely host.

I think the relatively high charges for pets and having to leave a deposit for night for each pet, were a bit of an unpleasant surprise, but we soon forgot about those. Some items of kitchenware need washing before use. Something for the host to keep an eye on and improve.

Bryn and Annalise were the BEST hosts, they could not have done more for us, and went above and beyond! also a fantastic place for dogs, our pooch thoroughly enjoyed his first holiday!
