Conveniet location

Super close both airport and city centre by tram/bus. Spacious apartment with bathtub. Appretiated heating during winter. Thanks for early check in.

As I dind't notice previous reviews. You are staying with the owner, who has own room within the apartment. Anyway he seems to be a nice guy and we only met him during check in.

Great warm place out of the cold, close to airport.

It was great to find a warm place away from the cold. Warm blankets and a place to wash and rest before our flight. Our host made an effort to put us at ease, even calling a friend to help us out with the internet. The place is much bigger than advertised, it's a whole two-room apartment, of which one is used for guests and the other for the owner.

I never got to know who the owner was. It would be more reassuring to at least have a name to the voice. The bedroom is a little drafty (cold coming in through window), which is only relevant for winter. The code for the internet could be made available in QR code for guests on a card, so guests don't need to have access internet already to receive the code/photo sent through the phone. It would be good to be contacted by the host 24 hours earlier with entry information, to insure a smooth arrival.

Owner Stays with you :(

The location is good.

It says One Bedroom apartment, but the owner stays in one of the two rooms so you dont have the apartment for yourself except the bedroom. Toilet, Bath, kitchen and living room is shared with the owner whom we found rude, so we left the apartment within 5mins of reaching there. We thought its a house where owner leaves in a separate space and you get the apartment for yourself, but its not like that, so we didn't like it.

City is easy to reach, airport access tricky; living room not very clean, host is kind and helpful.

The host is very kind and helpful, and we can confirm the previous reviews that he does ensure privacy 100%. Suggestion for the host to complete 'About the property' information: I would recommend mentioning that there is no internet service near the border area. GETTING THERE from the airport: 1. If you take bus 50, get off at Friedrich-Miescher-Str. and turn left onto a small path (you need to walk along the border line between the two countries, no internet service), not along the main road. This bus is covered by the DAY TICKET, which is valid until 4:00 a.m. the next day. 20 mins walk! 2. A shorter walking alternative: If you get off bus 50 later at Kannenfeldplatz, walk a little and take tram 3 at Strassburgerallee. This tram stops near the house at Place Mermoz.

- A few points that good to know: the bedding consists of a thick, warm blanket rather than a duvet, and it does not have a cover. This could be improved. However, we asked for extra sheets and were immediately provided with them to put between the blankets and ourselves. - There is a strong emphasis on taking off your shoes, and while the apartment is comfortable, it could benefit from a bit more thorough cleaning.

It was a great stay. We stayed in this house for 3 days in Basel. St. Louis is on the French side. We were very comfortable. There is every material needed at home. The bus tram is very close to everything. The market, doner, simitçi, run by expatriates from Türkiye. The host is a very good person. We were coming from Strasbourg late at night we wrote our message and went until we came. It is very comfortable for families with children. It closes in a room of the house is very thin to avoid disturbing you ... A room is also up to you. .

Clean tidy flat with helpful male owner present but out of the way near to Basel airport good value

Great accomodation thank you for near the airport after exploring Basel. We were aware that we were sharing the house with the owner who was very polite and helpful and always messaged us promptly through the app. He was kindly willing to allow us to leave our baggage before/after checkout if needed by mutual arrangement if convenient. Very clean and tidy. Furnished as in the photographs. He kindly kept in his room and let us use the space of his apartment. We used the very nearby large intermarche supermarket and ate at a well-priced friendly kebab pizza restaurant opposite the intermarche. His accommodation is in a block of flats - I think that it is much more common in France than in the UK to live in a block of flats - we lived in a block of flats ourselves in the past in France. It was well located to get to/from the airport by tram and bus - or just by bus 11 between the railway station in St Louis and the airport (3 euros each by card or cash to the driver) as we didn't find it too difficult to walk between the St Louis railway station and the accommodation - not sure how much it would cost to include the tram as well. (We explored the lovely city of Basel in the daytime before checking into our accommodation. We had wanted to catch tram number 3 from central Basel to reach the accommodation but the tram ticket machine near the music academy didn't seem to give us the option to use with our UK credit card and just offered Googlepay or Applepay and another option that we were unfamiliar with but we didn't have roaming data as Switzerland is not covered by our provider (think maybe we had an aberrant machine after I researched this afterwards?) so we chose to walk about an hour from central Basel to the accommodation at St Louis, approximately 4 km).

Not an issue with the accommodation but a logistical issue for us in finding it - we had not realised in advance that we would have no access to the internet for sending and receiving messages on the afternoon of arrival to enable us to find the accommodation - we advise guests to ask a bit earlier in the day when they do have WiFi internet in order to know which doorbell on the apartment block to press on arrival. (Our issue was due to having no roaming data in Switzerland in central Basel and then not connecting to the French network when we had reached the accommodation in St Louis - we hadn't realised in advance that we needed to know which doorbell to press within the block of flats with one section of the block all sharing the same address).

Wonderful Stay with Thoughtful Hospitality.

The place was extremely clean and cozy — we truly felt at home! The host was very attentive, kind, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The location was convenient and the flat matched the description perfectly!

The only thing I’d suggest is that it would be helpful to have a bit more information before check-in. Without a phone with internet or international minutes, it might be a little challenging to figure out which flat it is, since the host only shares the building number and not the flat number (or name). Just something to keep in mind for a smoother arrival!

For the price it's a very nice place. The host is very kind, he gave me advice in how to reach the airport.

Very comfortable and pleasant

The room is comfortable. Clean and very comfortable bed. The apartment is very clean. The host allowed me to use the kitchen which is fully kitted, clean and tidy. The host is very helpful. He got up at 4.30am to wish me a safe trip before I leave to catch a very early flight.

Shared accommodation

Nice apartment, friendly host. I think we made the same mistake as other travellers - we missed the word "partager" in the description, which means that this is shared accomodation with the host - he stays in his room and does not disturb you at all. He was very friendly and extremely helpful. Good place to stay overnight.

Nice tiles in the bathroom and the floor has a wood like laminate that looks kind of modern

The bed had no blanket and was already broken. You live there together with the host and this is nowhere mentioned in the description of the acomodation. You cannot close your own room with a key. You do not have a key to the apartment so you are a) always dependent that someone is home because the door is locked up and b) you are going to be controlled by the host when you leave and come back. I am an adult person and really: that's not the business of the host. The host also pees standing in front of the toilet with the door open. There are sprinkles of urine everywhere in the toilet room that you share with your host. Oh and the host isn't washing his hands after going to the toilet. I would never ever go there again.

Nice and cozy place

This place is very nice and cozy. The beds are huge and comfortable. The host is very friendly, he even let us to use his groceries in the kitchen while we were cooking. Everything we needed was available. It was also the cleanest place we have ever stayed during our trip. The location is also great. I highly recommend this place. Thanks for everything :)

La limpieza es el punto fuerte del alojamiento.

El apartamento se comparte con el dueño y en ningún momento se informa de esto. Viajamos con dos niños y nuestra sorpresa y preocupación fue enorme, porque no sabíamos a quien nos íbamos a encontrar. Sin embargo no le vimos por allí en ningún momento, nos dejó una nota donde nos informaba de todo. Pero el susto no nos lo quita nadie.

Die Wohnung war sauber, der Vermieter nett und unkompliziert.

Auf dem Schlafsofa im Wohnzimmer gab es bei der Bettwäsche keinen Überzug. Es war lediglich eine Wolldecke. Das war komisch. Was uns verwirrt hat, dass der Vermieter ohne eine Wort auch in der Wohnung geschlafen hat. Er sagte nichts und im Inserat war auch nichts erwähnt. Das habe ich noch nie erlebt. Er hat nicht gestört, aber es war etwas speziell....
