I wasn't expecting much after sending two previous emails to the hotel with no response. However, the reception team proved me wrong on check-in, sorting everything out without any fuss despite my early arrival. The room itself was solid. Clean, proper bed, and there's a lounger tucked into the window alcove which makes for a decent spot to sit and take in the view. Nothing fancy, but it does the job. The initial communication issues aside, the staff made up for it with efficient, straightforward service at the desk.

The kettle in the room would continually boil with no way to stop it. I had to ring down multiple times to get it sorted. Room service from the restaurant below was overpriced and disappointing. The pizza was soggy and bland. The dessert was worse—a block of tasteless dough with chocolate chips. The only decent thing was a tiny blob of ice cream. Breakfast offered plenty of choice but poor execution. Boiled eggs were both cracked and spilled out onto the plate.
