The setting was beautiful and peaceful. The kids enjoyed the backyard, although it was too steep to play any games or throw footballs, etc. The covered patio near the dock was nice, too. Overall, the home was comfortable and clean, however, we did have to remove a gross amount of hair from the hallway bathtub drain in order for the water to drain appropriately. Otherwise, everything else appeared to be cleaned. The kitchen is lacking in pots, dishes, and utensils considering the size and number of people the home accommodates. The microwave is a tiny countertop model that only holds a small bowl or bread plate, not a cooking dish with vegetables or potatoes. The air conditioning was effective and water heater supported our family of 6 adults and 3 children. Communication about check-in was not easy. I had to reach out several times to get check-in information instead of the property manager reaching out to me. With our family arriving in different vehicles from different directions and at different times, I had to pull over several times to text with the property manager & family on our way there about access details. That was disappointing that I had to be the one reaching out instead of the information being provided ahead of time. We didn't have any difficulty at the gate the first night, but the second day, two of our three vehicles were held up at the guardhouse because the guard couldn't find our name on the list although we had already been in the night before.

From start to finish, everything was easy and smooth. Excellent location with easy lake access and personal dock. The property manager had excellent communication with any questions that came up and made our stay homie and comfortable! Definitely recommend!
