Rocky Road Mountain Lodge

We loved the peace away from the city and the fact there were no other units around. The views are great, the unit is clean and tidy and it’s a short drive away from Harties.

The property is beautiful but struggled a bit with our small car. It rained on the day we were leaving which made the sand a bit slippery. Would recommend a vehicle that’s good for light off-roading.

The snakes

I liked that the property felt secured, especially with the electric fence. I traveled alone but I still felt safe. The location was amazing and the view was beautiful. The outdoors showers and jacuzzi. The place itself is beautiful and the environment is peaceful. I was worried about driving my car on the gravel road especially because the front lip of my car is low but their roads were well maintained, and I really appreciated thr fact that the host reassured me throughout. I struggled with making a fire and the hose kindly assisted, sent a sweet gentle to help. I privacy and location of the cabin was its own escape into nature. I loved the thoughtfulness of the entire layout of the place. Double of everything from pillows to towels yo even double showers indoors and outdoors.

The insects. They love the light at night so i was scared to sit outside, it was bad at all, im just scared of things that crawl or fly. It felt like there was something on or in the roof, especially at night it would make screeching sounds.
