Rajahamsam Houseboat

The backwaters are calm, lush, and very unique. Cruising through coconut-lined canals and villages is something you won’t get elsewhere.Good houseboat feel cozy and private. Sunset + night stay on water is the highlight.Fresh Kerala meals (especially fish curry, karimeen fry) are usually excellent if the boat has a good cook.Worth it for a one-time experience, but prices can feel high depending on the season and quality.

It was really a comfortable experience. Food was excellent and staffs are polite and very attentive

During day it was really difficult to stay without Aircondition. So if this policy slightly change it will be perfect from my point of view

What a gorgeous houseboat! A beautiful old wooden boat and perfectly spacious for our group of 6 adults. We had the luxury of 2 nights and loved every minute of it. Rahul our captain was lovely and a font of information about the areas, birds and other animals as we passed through the backwaters. And the food was superb! Absolutely delicious and different for every meal - the on board chef is fabulous! It was lovely to pull up for the night in some beautiful spots to view the sunset and take strolls through local villages.

We loved this houseboat, but be aware the bathrooms are a little old-style. Not a problem for us at all however.

The staff, the food, the location

The boat is moored at night near the shore, right next to a few more, the exclusivity of the stay was ruined. It woudl have been a lot better to just take a day time cruise and stay in a proper hotel at night.
