Backwater Breeze

Location was fantastic, peaceful, felt immersed in the are, which was so friendly - but we wanted to say that in a way the biggest draw is Ajish and his utterly delightful family. They were so kind, fun and helpful and lovely to chat to. We felt so well looked after - breakfasts were fantastic and Jaya kept cups of chai coming too, which was lovely. There’s a nice restaurant right next to it, serving wholesome food with delightful staff. Try the prawn curry! Dinner can be served on your balcony. Everything is readily organised for you. Tuktuks into town, an Ayurveda treatment booked, boat rides, onward transport. It was a bit of a wrench to leave really.

We liked everything. I also think that if there had been something we didn’t like, Ajish would have sorted it out in about two minutes.

The highlight is the view , it is unbeatable.It perfectly faces the backwaters and you can enjoy the view of the passing house boats . Spacious rooms and very hospitable staff .The host even helped to arrange cycles for kids .Delicious breakfast & provides sufficient quantity .

The host and the staff were the best. Made the trip memorable.

Nothing to mention

The outlook was fine, albeit the view across the lake was obscured by trees. The staff were very accommodating.

We were welcomed with a refreshing drink and shown to our accommodation. Although the room was clean, the sheets were stained, and it is clear from the overall presentation of the property that the general maintenance has been allowed to slip. Unfortunately the in-house restaurant was not available, although excellent food was on-hand nearby on the water front. We were provided with breakfast, however the content was somewhat disappointing; while other guests were presented with sizeable proportions, we were surprised to find our omelette served on a saucer! Notwithstanding the above, the owner’s son deserves special mention for accompanying one of the guests to a nearby hospital, following a self inflicted minor accident.
