Overall, our stay was pleasant and we had a great time reconnecting with family in the area. The home is located within walking distance of the Chatterbox Bar and Sam's Pizza which are legendary in Wausau. The house is vintage with wood floors, panel doors, and old growth pine window trims and baseboards. The bathrooms and kitchen are nicely done in a more modern style. All was great except for a few issues that diminished the experience a bit. 1. The check in could have gone better. We arrived at the property and the lock code did not open the door. Nor did the second. Our third code was successful but between the time it took to text back and forth with the host and try the codes, it was almost 40 minutes from our arrival until we were able to get inside the property. 2. WIFI and TV streaming didn't work. Again time was spent messaging back and forth with the host. The access code allowed us to connect to the modem, but our devices showed message: "No internet. Try rebooting your router. If that doesn't work contact your service provider." Since router is in locked basement, we needed door code to access it. Got code from host, rebooted modem, and still no internet. Informed the host and never received a response back. Consequently we went without internet and TV streaming for our entire stay.3. Oven did not get hot enough to bake a frozen pizza. Chair cushion is broken in DR. Dryer vent seems plugged. Not drying. Neighbor's yard a bit grim.Otherwise all good.

The property was as advertised and it was perfect for our family get-together. The host was attentive to my questions and even left us a bottle of wine. It all went flawlessly and we were very happy with everything!

We enjoyed the house as our home base while visiting from out of state all of our family and friends in the area. Was walking distance to the park. Neighborhood was quiet. Enjoyed our stay.
