Accommodation in detail:

Enter the cosy lounge with Smart TV/DVD and woodburning stove. Elegant separate dining room with plenty of comfortable seating, leading downstairs to the 2nd cinema/games room with 50-inch TV, X-Box 360 and Wii consoles and games.

Beautiful and well equipped, fitted kitchen with granite worktops leading to the enclosed rear patio.

Upstairs all bedrooms have bedrooms have luxury mattresses, TV, dressing table, hairdryer and cooling fan. On the first floor is a pretty master bedroom with king size bed and 2
luxury bathroom facilities. Upstairs a charming double bedroom with wonderful fell views, and a further good-sized single bedroom provides an ideal peaceful sanctuary.

A parking permit is provided for outside or very near the cottage for one car and free parking is available for extra vehicles 6pm-10am.

Ambleside is one of the most popular Lake District villages occupying a very scenic location on the northern shores of Lake Windermere. The village is surrounded by a dramatic backdrop of Lakeland Fells making Ambleside a super
base for walking in the Lake District - the scenery is a constant source of inspiration for walkers, artists and photographers alike.

It's a superb choice for couples or families, who'll enjoy being able to explore on foot and sample the very best of Lakeland village life. Ambleside village centre offers sophisticated shopping, and a fabulous array of cafes, restaurants and traditional pubs. Ambleside also has three independent cinema venues, and world-class live jazz restaurant, adding to a wide range of choices for romantic or sociable evenings out.

Why not take a cruise on Lake Windermere during your stay? Windermere Lake Cruises depart regularly from Ambleside Pier at Waterhead, which is just a stroll out of the village - a great way to explore Bowness and Lakeside without having to drive.

Route information is on hand at the Tourist Information (2 mins walk away) and you'll easily find advice in the many outdoor clothing stores. The frequent and reliable bus service provides an excellent and cost-effective way of travelling further afield.

Follow the A591 north past tranquil Rydal Water to historic Grasmere to visit such attractions as the former home of William Wordsworth at Dove Cottage, The Wordsworth Museum, and the famous Grasmere Gingerbread Shop.
The A591 also leads easily south to Troutbeck Bridge, Windermere and on to Bowness.
