Perfect location, beautiful view of Lake and the stars!! Clean place, Wi-Fi better than I thought it would be. Only complaint is hot tub. It took 16 hours to get it up to temp from our original check in time. Once up to temp, it was nice, but loses heat after about half hour. It drops 5 degrees then takes about 8 hours to get back up to temp. I know it’s a newer hot tub so I assume host is working out the kinks. Great stay though and good host communication.

Clean and comfortable accommodations near Hammondsport. Water did have a slight sulfur smell but otherwise was a great place to stay and relax! Loved coming home and relaxing in the hot tub after a day at the wineries.

This place is the perfect cozy, charming home to stay, and the view is amazing!! We enjoyed exploring local wineries and nearby hiking trails. And we loved starting our morning drinking coffee on the window seat looking out over the lake. The pictures don’t quite capture the beauty of this place!

I had high hopes for this rental… the location was great, as I am very familiar with the area and it was close to everything I enjoy while in Hammondsport. However, due to several issues, I would not choose to stay here again. First off we noticed a smell upon entering the house- it wasn’t a clean smell. We discovered that it may have been from the well water, which smelled horribly of sulfur. So we had to buy water to wash our face and brush our teeth, and suffer through a shower. As soon as we walked upstairs we were greeted with dead flies laying on the hardwood floors and all over the rug in the main bedroom. They were also flying around in every room, and I don’t mean two or three, but more like an infestation, they appeared to be coming from the light fixtures even in the kitchen and were trapped in several over lights in the house. For this reason it didn’t feel clean and we would not walk barefoot anywhere for fear of stepping on dead flies. The first night was peaceful and we slept well, the second night however, was very windy, and no one could sleep because of a sound that appeared to be from wind I. The attic creating a suction and loud vibrating noise.
One other minor inconvenience was the listing states a coffee maker. Well- it’s not a Cuisinart or Mr Coffee, it’s a French press with a separate kettle for heating the water. So unless you are familiar, bring your own. Also the TV was useless bc the WiFi/Netflix didn’t work, even after he told me it would.
