Hoole House- Recently decorated, bright and modern 2 bedroom house, close to Chester train station and the City Centre

Lovely and close to the station.

Nothing really, it was just so warm when we went and there were no fans, or none we could find. Strange to say in the UK I know but it was just a so hot!

The house is close to the station and Hoole is a lovely area with shops snd restaurants close by. The house is located on a quiet road and the communication before we arrived was good. I had no issues finding the key. The house is comfortable with a spacious lounge and the master bedroom is a good size. It was all clean when we arrived and there was tea and coffee in the kitchen.

The plug in the bath doesn’t drain well and the height of the shower head can’t be adjusted anymore. There is no space for hanging clothes in the second bedroom and a bedside light of some sort would be nice. We cooked the first night we were there and the kitchen could be better equipped. I couldn’t find a cheese grater or a measuring jug.

Cute house in a handy location - close to Chester city centre, which is an easy 15-20 mins stroll away along the canal, and also right in trendy Goole, with its shops, bars and restaurants. We were lucky enough to get parking right outside the front door but be warned it's a narrow street and parking was a bit nail biting (but that could just be me ☺️) We loved the unusual shape of the house. A bit of outdoor space would have been nice but not essential. The second bedroom is a good size for anyone travelling in a slightly larger group or with children. Definite bonus.

Lacking a few essentials in the kitchen - no corkscrew for one!! But otherwise it's a good place and perfectly comfortable.

A lovely property, well furnished and looked after. It was an easy walk into Chester along the canal, which was very pleasant in the sunshine! The highstreet in Hoole is nearby and has a few cafes and shops within easy walking distance with a Waitrose Supermarket a few minutes in the other direction. Parking was easy outside the property. You come across it very quickly when you turn onto Phillip street, so be ready to pull over! In the second room a single daybed pulled out into a double for the kids. An easy drive to Chester Zoo - make sure you leave plenty of time as there was a queue even at 10am!

Unfortunately, the hob/oven wasn't working when we got back with food to cook! We needed to go back out to get matches to light the hob. Checked we weren't missing a main switch somewhere with the owner who said it hadn't been reported before.
