Barn Cottage with pre booked use of Indoor Swimming Pool

Excellent location for a visit to Longleat. Perfectly fine for a one night stay; clean and quiet. Enough space for a family of four. We didn't use the on-site swimming pool, but good to know we could have if we chose to.

It's clean, but all white and very clinical, not very 'home-from-home' or particularly cosy. The kettle was so full of limescale we couldn't have a tea or coffee. The mattress was very old in the main bedroom so was very squeaky when you moved on it. I think it's overpriced for what it is, especially the pool at £25 per hour as it's quite small.

We loved everything about the property. All the little touches like the tea and coffee, washing machine and dryer with washing pods, extra bits and pieces should we need them like highchair etc. We loved how clean it was left for us. Such a beautiful property. We especially loved the exclusive use of the on site swimming pool, my girls had so much fun jumping in the pool for an hour before bed! Also being right next to the stables, we were able to interact with the horses on site (while their keeper was there) which was a beautiful experience for the kids. Not a bad word to say, it was just perfect.

We stayed at the old barn this weekend just gone for our daughters 8th birthday and surprise day out to longleat we were absolutely chuffed couldn’t fault it. Beautiful location, great communication from the owners and really kind of them to let my husbands parents park their motorhome on site to join in with our daughters birthday celebrations. Would highly recommend staying here we had such a lovely weekend, the kids loved having a late night swim in the pool too.
