Winter, Summer, Autumn, or Spring, this gorgeous holiday home – constructed using timber and so lending the building an authentic Alpine feel – is a great choice at any time of year. Luxuriate in the wide open spaces of its wood-clad interior, or step outside to the beautiful balcony and take in the ever-changing view of the picturesque valley below – a view that shifts and alters as do the seasons, from the iridescent greens of the summer months to the blazing ambers of autumn and, of course, the pristine, glistening whites of the snow during ski season. Nestled in La Bresse, an area of the Hautes Vosges, the surrounding area offers a range of activities throughout the year, including more than 250 kilometres of marked walking trails and 200 kilometres of mountain bike tracks. There is also fantastic fishing (as well as spectacular scenery) to be enjoyed at the stunning Lac des Corbeaux. For those with a taste for adventure, then the Bol D'Air Aventure Parc is calling, offering thrill-seekers the chance to try their hand at everything from paragliding to bungee jumping and summer sledging. The storybook villages and world-renowned vineyards of Alsace are reachable within about an hour by car too. In winter, snow bunnies can make the most of three downhill slopes in the area, including La Bresse-Hohneck just a ten-minute drive from the apartment. The two other smaller resorts of Lispach with six runs, and Brabant, offering three, also welcome visitors during the season. For cross-country skiing, the Lispach Nordic Area boasts 50 kilometres of runs for all abilities, as well as snowshoeing circuits, an international biathlon stadium, a floodlit track, sledging slopes, and an ice rink. With all that action and adventure on offer, it's just as well that at the end of a day spent making unforgettable memories, you can retreat to the comfort and serenity of your apartment.
