Highland Lodge, located in the middle of much of what Geneva/Ashtabula has to offer is perfect for couples looking to stay together and play together, families making memories, or friends meeting up for a few days. Our home is fully furnished with 7 bedrooms - 4 king rooms, 1 queen room, 2 full size beds, and 3 twin beds. The game room is the perfect place to hang out with friends and enjoy a little competition. Activities include a classic arcade game system, dart board, air hockey, and board games. The cozy kid’s room is perfect for teens or younger kids who want to enjoy their own personal space while adults can enjoy their own space as well. Cooking large meals is a breeze in this open and well-equipped kitchen.

Back yard is adjacent to the Red Brook MetroPark which is 145 acres and offers ADA Accessible walking trails, running/walking routes, and is a haven for fishing, hiking, snow-trekking, and more!

The home is equipped with 2 high definition Smart TVs plus high speed WiFi provides plenty of streaming and downloading capabilities for your entire group.

This house is approximately 9 minutes from the Geneva Strip, 7 minutes from the Harbor District, 16 minutes from Spire Institute, and there are plenty of wineries within a 20 minute drive. Other nearby attractions include ATV Riding, Zip Lining, Fishing, Boat/Kayak/Fishing Charter Rentals, Bird Watching, Covered Bridges, and so much more!

Bedroom 1 (Master bedroom) is right off the entry foyer with a firm King size bed and attached full bathroom with jetted shower/tub combo. Relax and unwind watching a 55” TV with Hulu, NetFlix, Amazon Prime Video, and YouTube TV included at no additional charge with your reservation! Main dining table will seat up to 12 plus an extra dining table for larger groups. Well appointed kitchen for cooking large meals! First floor washer and dryer plus Bedroom 2 with another King size bed. Enjoy lounging on the back deck with a pizza oven, large grill, fire table, and plenty of seating for larger groups as well as lots of outdoor games! Blown away by the property, yard and the hospitality of the hosts. The place is fully stocked with all the games and entertainment you could want, both indoor and out! Our hosts were lovely and even surprised us with a massive box of donuts to kick off our 30th Birthday celebration. Absolutely love the decor and style of the home! Highly recommend 10/10.

Accommodations were everything represented in the listing plus some! Property/house details excellent, including listing of bed firmness. Entire house exceptionally clean, showers, sinks, beds, all linens, kitchen, floors! Kudos to owner’s great communication, recommendations for activities, grocery, even fishing! Kitchen was stocked with every type of cookware supplies someone could possibly want. Jim notified us in advance dishwasher went on the “fritz”. He purchased an array of paper products and dish washing supplies. Another over-the-top effort, Jim even offered to pick up and wash dishes daily. There was more entertainment in the house than we had time to enjoy. Jim and Maggie were terrific and we’d return to their home again. This house was an outstanding find for our adult group of friends. Do be cognizant at top of 2nd floor staircase as step are different heights. They are well lid with handrails. No issues for any of our group, just an awareness. Again, a grand VRBO house. D/M Hicks

10 80yr women celebrating 60yrs of friendship stayed in this amazing house for 3 nights. The owners thought of everything to make our stay perfect. Two bedrooms on the first floor and enough beds for everyone to have their own bed and all were very comfortable. And a dining table we could all sit at was important! Communication with the owners couldn't have been any better! Love this house!

We were in town for the burial of our father (grandfather, great grandfather) and we wanted a place where we could all stay together. The house was perfect!Everyone had a place, the kids loved the game room (as did the adults when the kids weren't playing.) The adult children played games in the evenings from the impressive game closet. I stay often at VRBO's and this one was the most well stocked of any that I have stayed! The hosts always responded quickly if we had any questions. I simply have no negatives, only superlatives! Great house!

We have been vacationing together for more than 25 years. This year we were booked on Anna Maria Island but Helene and Milton changed our plans. We found Highland Lodge and all agreed, we were meant to be here. The long weekend was a perfect getaway in a great house with hosts extraordinaire, Jim and Maggie. The home is one of the best we've stayed in - beautifully and comfortably appointed, well-stocked from kitchen spices/supplies to toothbrushes in the bathroom, to games and books. It feels like the owners are friends who invited us to stay in their home. They even left a box of fresh doughnuts from a local bakery on the kitchen table! The location is central to wineries, Ashtabula, Geneva on the Lake - all have great restaurants, shopping, activities, and easy access to transportation. We highly recommend Highland Lodge and Jim and Maggie as hosts!

This property was an absolute dream. Having a large family vacation here was great. There were plenty of beds and bedrooms for everyone to be comfortable. If there were any issues, the owner was quick to reply and offer assistance. The house was fully stocked with everything that we needed. I truly was beyond impressed impressed with this property. The pastries left for us at check in were fantastic. I cannot say enough great things about this property. There were also lots of great shops a short drive away and plenty of activities.

We had a great visit to Geneva on the Lake. Our group included 12 people ranging from a 5 year old to an 86 year old. The master suite was pretty amazing. The host stopped by when we had some questions operating the fire table outside, which was really nice for them to stop by. We mentioned we would be doing a lot of cooking for 12, and the host dropped off a large pot for us to borrow. They also had an electric skillet and 2 extra side burners to use. They had a lot of kitchen items which was very helpful; they even had 2 waffle makers (which we used). There was a stand-alone ice maker but it had trouble keeping up with the demand. I’d recommend bringing some ice cube trays if you’ll need a good amount of ice. They provided a lot of outdoor games and a nice porch with a fire table and overhead lights. Inside they provided a ton of board games. The large kitchen table was very helpful to see all the guests. The extensive selection of coffee and creamers was very useful, and there were treats provided at check-in (nice surprise). Lastly, the kids bedroom with 4 twin beds was awesome for the kids. The attached game room was perfect for them to hang out while the adults hung out downstairs. Cons: There are 5 bedrooms upstairs with only 1.5 bathrooms upstairs (both small). The stove is getting old and some of the knobs are loose, so it is a little tough cooking on the stove.

Don’t pass up an opportunity to stay in this house! Jim & Maggie are the absolute best hosts. They were very responsive prior to our stay, during our stay and even after our stay. Every room in the house was super clean and decorated to a tee. The kids absolutely loved the bedroom with 4 twin beds and especially the game room. What an unforgettable experience! Jim and Maggie's gorgeous house nestled in a nature-filled, serene neighborhood provided a perfect escape for our family retreat. Within minutes of the lake, strip, beach, grocery store, harbor - there was something for everyone in our group of 14 and pup. Just want to hang at the house? Indoor games, outdoor games, books, you name it. We played baseball in the giant yard, had dance offs in the game room, and managed a puzzle or two on the sprawling table while overlooking pine trees. Ended every night watching fireflies and reminiscing by the fire. Jim and Maggie are amazing hosts. They were responsive and incredibly accommodating, ensuring that our stay was perfect in everyway. From the handwritten note and goodies when we arrived, to the lightening fast replies when we had questions. The house is immaculate with amenities that go beyond typical for VRBO or even posh hotels. The attention to detail with the decor and furnishings made it feel like a true home away from home. Need ice? There's a ice machine. Cooking in? Kitchen has everything - and it's all labeled. Cooking out? Grill and pizza oven are spotless. Have a chill? Grab a soft blanket. BBQ sauce on your t-shirt? Throw it in the wash. I could go on and on and on. Whether your looking for a peaceful or active retreat, this is the place to be for top-notch hospitality and relaxation. Just book it, you won't regret it.

We recently celebrated my sister’s upcoming wedding at Jim and Maggie’s VRBO with a group of 16, and it was an absolutely perfect experience. From the moment we arrived, Jim and Maggie couldn’t have been more welcoming, making us feel right at home. The property is a solid five stars! The house was well-stocked with everything we needed, including an abundance of dishes, an ice machine, and outdoor games that kept everyone entertained. The property itself is stunning and offers a sense of privacy that made our stay feel even more special. Jim and Maggie’s attention to detail was evident with thoughtful touches like donuts upon arrival and plenty of shampoo, conditioners, and toothbrushes in case we forgot our own. The beds were firm and comfortable, ensuring everyone had a restful night’s sleep. The location was also ideal, with a short drive to local wineries and Geneva-on-the-Lake, which added even more enjoyment to our trip. I can’t recommend this property more highly! We all had the best getaway here. The house is decorated so beautifully. Everything we could ever want ( unexpectedly) was at hand. We were lucky and had great weather so we were able to enjoy the gorgeous deck outside and the super comfortable ( and again gorgeous) living room for family gatherings. Outstanding house that had all the amenities we were looking for. The owners went above and beyond with two types of coffee machines that were well stocked, counter top ice maker, crock pot, and everything you need in a well stocked kitchen. The chocolates, candy, snacks and gift certificate to a local pie shop (which was fantastic) went above and beyond our expectations. The game room which included an arcade and air hockey was a fantastic place for all to enjoy. We had 13 family and friends and lived and slept comfortably. Great location. Close to Ashtabula and Geneva on the Lake. Both had good restaurants and things to do. We had four small grandchildren with us and found plenty for them to do with the beach and several parks/playgrounds close by. Plus we had a blast going to Geneva on the Lake for arcades and mini-golf. The outside was also outstanding with a large deck with plenty of seating, gas grill and pizza oven. The owner included plenty of games and toys for the kids to enjoy. We really enjoyed using the fire table in the evening. Overall, we would highly recommend this property to all, especially larger groups.

Our family reunion brought 12 adults and two children together. The house offered enough space to sit together as a big group and also places for two or three people to sit and chat. We especially enjoyed the deck out back in the evening. Beds we’re comfortable and there were enough bathrooms. We enjoyed the treats provided by the hosts, including cookies, crackers, coffee and coffee pods, and coffee cream. Books to read. Games to play. Gas fireplace made for cozy evenings. Best of all were the recommendations that the hosts made for restaurants and activities. This home is a great place to make family memories.

This was such a great house! The location was perfect, as it was very close to the lake and all the wineries. The house was immaculate and the owners offered a ton of extras, which really added to the experience. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great and we were unable to enjoy the gorgeous outside deck and its amenities, but the house was great to cook in, play games, and it was big enough that everyone in our party had their own, very comfortable room. The owners were very easy to get ahold of and were very accommodating. We would absolutely stay here again!

Thank you for an amazing stay. We do an annual girls trip every year. This is our 2nd time staying in the area & you couldn't ask for a better location even in the winter. This property is hands down the best property we have ever stayed out. The owners have thought of everything. 7 bedrooms, which 6 of them are couple worthy. You won't find a better stocked kitchen, sweet personal touches like coffee bar & chocolates to great smelling soup & extra toiletries in the bathroom, and the cleanest place we have yet to stay. We took full advantages of the multiple gather spaces. We watched lots of silly TV & laughed on the comfy couches, played lots of games & had meals together at the big tables, and had morning coffee in the breakfast nook watching the huge Blue Jays at the bird feeder. I also can't forget the game room that kept out night owls entertained. If you are looking for a couples trip, girls weekend, or a family get away, this is a perfect location anytime of the year. We look forward to coming back.
