Chautauqua Lake Estate at Chestnut Hill

We spent our annual Thanks-mas weekend at the Chautauqua Lake Estate, and we loved it! The great room was really large, and the dining room table fit all 15 of us! Having our choice of bedrooms was wonderful, also. We played pool, put together puzzles, went for walks, played games, and watched a lot of football and hockey on TV, as well as celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas together.

We had a great stay! The photos don’t do this house justice. The house is spacious and very comfortably housed 16 adults. The pool table was a hit. The large front porch makes it easy to enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Chautauqua. We look forward to staying again in the future.

This place is huge and beautiful! There were 8 of us and easily could have had 10 more. Very comfortable and has everything you need. We were very interested in the history of the place! Just a great vacation rental.

We had an an amazing trip and loved the location. Everything we needed was available and the living room, dining room area was so spacious great for entertaining. The porch outside was very comfortable and the view of the lake was incredible. I would recommend that the showers and mattresses get an update for more comfort during the visit.

The house was in great condition when we arrived. There was plenty of space for our large group. The view was amazing! We had plenty of room on the dock as well. It was also great that they had a golf cart for getting up and down the hill. We would definitely stay here again.

My siblings and I and our kids and a few grandkids thoroughly enjoyed our stay. :)

Our family of 16 stayed for four days and had a blast! The house is gorgeous! We enjoyed everything about the house and dock area! The size was perfect and we even had leftover space. We would definitely stay again!

This house is wonderful- the best we have stayed at on the lake for a big group. Owners are great and the house is perfect for large multi generational family stays. We will be back for sure!!! I recommend renting the golf cart from the owners to give a break from the stairs but everything about our stay was lovely.

Everything about this house was awesome and spot on for what we needed! The house was very clean and communication with the owner was quick and easy. Would highly recommend and will utilize this house again in the future!

Our group of 19 spent a long weekend here to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. We had friends and family from all over (Oregon, England, Netherlands and Pittsburgh) who joined us, some we hadn't seen since before COVID. Also, some of the folks had never met each other, so the sleeping arrangements and space were tricky to accommodate. This house accommodated all VERY comfortably, with room to spare. The listing says 10 bedrooms, but there are 12, with pull-out couches in 2 separate areas. Despite on/off rainy and cool conditions, everyone had a blast! There was so much room to all hang out together, with plenty of indoor activities for the kids and adults, but also plenty of private space to get away from the mayhem. We had board games going on at the big dining room table while watching the pool tournaments in the next area (huge open floor plan). The vintage fusball table downstairs was super cool and provided hours of fun as well. A few folks enjoyed catch and release fishing off the dock when there was a break in the rain, while others relaxed outside on the veranda. The kitchen was well stocked with just about anything you would need for cooking for large groups, and they provided lots of paper and soap products to get you started. The place was clean and well cared for! The pictures on the website don't do it justice. The owner was also super responsive and friendly any time I reached out to her and check in process was seamless. We loved this place so much...our friends can't stop talking about it. We're looking for excuses for future celebrations here. We can't wait to go back, especially in warmer weather.

We loved hosting our family holiday gathering of 25 adults & children at this venue. For the first time, we were able enjoy each other’s company with sufficient space and accommodations. Everyone had a bed, there is plenty of kitchen space (2 kitchens), and a large enough gathering area. The layout of the house allows for multiple families or groups to gather collectively or individually, as desired. Our kids found the pool table and board games as nice extras! Complimenting all this is the old world charm and lake views. The hosts were extremely responsive and accommodating. We will book again!

We were looking to rent a VRBO on Lake Chautauqua. This was just right for our family of 22. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone to be comfortable and have privacy. The great room was huge and wonderful for all of us to gather together. It must be beautiful in the summer with plenty to do. The property is beautiful with an awesome front porch!

We had a large family group for a Christmas gathering. The house was great. It had plenty of space for everyone to spread out and have their own spaces as well as large common areas for our “together “ time. I definitely recommend this house for any families who want to spend time together.

I come from a very large family who grew up down the lake near Jamestown. Holidays have always been a big deal, but this Thanksgiving - the first without Dad - needed to be special. And it was thanks to this wonderful home. The house provided enough space for our whole family to gather, while also having quiet zones for Mom and others to step away from the action when needed. While we didn't get the opportunity to fully utilize the outdoor spaces, we still didn't feel cramped AT ALL. There is just a ton of interior rooms and spaces in this home. If you have ever thought about bringing together your family for a lakeside getaway, you would be hard pressed to find a better home than this. We highly recommend it and look forward to staying here again.

We could. It have enjoyed this place more. Old home charm with nice beds, room for everyone l(all 20 of us) to eat together and enjoy visiting! Kitchen was nice and the view of the river was beautiful! Loved the snow—being from the NW, we don’t get a lot of snow. Beautiful, large and very special. Lots of living and sleeping space!

This property is perfect for large families! The porch overlooking the lake is a "freeze time, I want to stay here forever" kind of view & feeling. I believe there's actually 14 bedrooms. Very large livingroom! This was our 2nd time staying in this beautiful home. 23 adults! I did notice more corner cobwebs this time around but could very well be attributed to the time of year. Definitely take toiletries. Plenty of board games are available along with a pool table, ping pong, & foosball. Overall, a wonderful stay! Thanks Mary Beth!

The house was perfect in every way for our 12 cousin get-a-way. We had a wonderful time relaxing on the front porch & sitting by a fire at night. We will return.

Perfect property to host a large gathering for a laid back but fun filled weekend. Everything is gorgeous!

Really great place to stay. 12 bedrooms and lots of living space both inside and out. Great view of the lake. Nice dock and swimming. Owners are easy to get ahold of and respond quickly to any issues.

This is a fantastic rental property! We stayed for three nights and had 18 people ranging from 2-61 we never had to leave the property it felt Like there was so much to do. Between the pool table, kayaks, fishing of the dock, bonfire, boat dock, large living room and beautiful deck and yard there was so much space for the whole family to have fun! We would definitely stay again!

We were in town for my sons wedding and I rented this home for my entire family to come in from all over the country it was quite large enough to accommodate everyone. everyone was comfortable everyone had a fabulous time we enjoyed the house very much thank you for sharing with us

The house was perfect for a friend’s reunion to celebrate one of the kid’s wedding. We used all the bedrooms and fit perfectly with 20 people. The settle was spectacular! Kitchen was well equipped and we didn’t need a thing! Plenty of bathrooms as well as towels and linens. Having the games, pool tables and ping pong tables were a bonus! Jeff and Mary Beth very accommodating and responsive to all our needs and questions. Already thinking about when we can return!!

This pictures don't do justice as to just how large this place is. It could very easily sleep 25+ people. Many pull outs and beds over the 4 floors of this place. This has the largest sectional I've ever seen. The house is pretty old but in very good condition. Yard is huge. Lots of steps to get down to the water. We enjoyed our time there a lot. I would bring your own ping pong paddles and balls, and the bumper pool was missing a couple of balls. Plenty of grills and 2 kitchens for all of your food needs.

The house is beautiful and it was very clean. We really enjoyed our time there. The view of the frozen lake was beautiful. The only problem was the water pressure. Also, the the ping pong paddles were falling apart. But our children were able yo have fun with the other board games provided. We had a wonderful time in this house!

Pictures don’t do this place justice. Everything is in excellent shape and the kitchen comes well stocked. My only complaint would be low water pressure since this in on well-water, but overall a great experience for a group of friends.

Huge and open layout, comfortable and accommodating. It was very easy to communicate with the friendly property manager/owner, she was so helpful!

Property was awesome! Huge home shared by 7 families with children. Plenty of space to hang out and the living room area was the best! The views of the lake were incredible! Would highly recommend!

Wonderful estate to house multigenerational gathering. From 87 to 9 years old, we all enjoyed spending Thanksgiving together under 1 roof. Thank you!

This home is right on the lake. It fit our extended family perfectly for my parent’s 50th anniversary celebration. The homeowners are really easy to communicate with. Our only issue was with the WiFi but it wasn’t a high priority so maybe it’s easily fixed.

We couldn't get outside as much as we wanted, but we enjoyed the new furniture, the pool table, the fireplace. It's a great place to gather. My husband just lost his dad and we were comforted being with our friends in this house.
