Enjoy the comfort and convenience of this quiet Rustic cottage just a few minutes walk to the lake. Take comfort in knowing you will have a good experience with this owner managed property. We have been super hosts for 5 year running and we will do our best to ensure you have a pleasant and comfortable stay.

We are located within walking distance to the historic Stow Ferry and minutes from Bemus Point. I86 is a minute away. The Chautauqua Institute and beautiful Lakewood are less then 10 minutes away and across the street is Hogans hut the largest bait and convenience store on the lake. Get fresh made sandwiches, all your fishing needs, and Perrys Ice Cream with a 2 minute walk at Hogans hut. This is the perfect spot to unwind on the lake and be minutes away from all the region’s major attractions
The Space
The house is a 4 season 2-bedroom cottage sitting on a large lot with a firepit and mature trees on a quiet side street just a few steps from Stow Ferry. This is a well appointed fully furnished home that has two bedrooms upstairs with a king bed, 2 queens in the other bedroom, and a pull-out queen in the living room. You can comfortably sleep 8 in the home. Window air conditioners are installed for the hot summer nights. The house has a full-size washer and dryer, and fully equipped kitchen. You have high speed internet and Roku TVs in the Living room and Main Bedroom.
Outside you have a large yard with fire pit, plenty of parking for your cars, boats, and other toys. The wooded area adjacent to the property brings in pretty wildlife and creates a beautiful quiet natural environment to enjoy your coffee in the morning, relaxing fires at night, and a space for your family to enjoy the tranquility of this rustic wooded scene

You are minutes from all the major attractions, shopping, and restaurants. Enjoy Panama rocks, The Chautauqua wine trail, Bemus Point (via the stow ferry or the 86 bridge), Prendergast boat launch (largest free launch on the lake), and Long Point state park. Mayville, Westfield, Jamestown and Lakewood are very close by so you'll have lots of shopping, restaurants, and entertainment options on and off the lake. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy everything Chautauqua Lake has to offer!!

My kids and I were visiting friends in NY and decided to rent a place on/near the lake. I feel the description online was a bit deceiving by claiming to “have swimming” as an amenity. Yes swimming was an option but we had to drive to get there and either pay to do so or find an area beach to go to. We drove to a state park area but swimming was not allowed at that time because there were no lifeguards on duty. The house was decent but could definitely use some improvements that would make a huge difference to renters. The shower curtain liner was dirty, this is an item that could be replaced for a couple dollars. The door frame around the bathroom and the baseboard around the floor at the top of the stairs were loose with nails sticking out, another easy fix that should have been taken care of. Though I appreciated having hangers in both the downstairs closet and the upstairs bedroom they were cheap and made the room look less appealing. Another inexpensive fix switching those out with simple plastic hangers from Walmart. The mattress cover on the bed upstairs near the window was stained with urine, which leads me to believe when the bedding is changed the cover is not, that is unacceptable. The mattress on the fold out couch was also stained in urine. We arrived there on Friday, the trash cans outside had trash in them, one of them completely covered in maggots (I have photos), disgusting. Trash day is Wednesday but all trash should be removed when a guest checks out.
