About this house rental

A quaint little bach nestled in the bush, 1. 5km from the Russell township.
If you want, a walking track will take you by foot to town or to Long beach. Our property borders the highest point of Russell. And you could have your tea or coffee at the gazebo. You will ear Kiwis at night time and during the day enjoying Weka and Tui life.
The bach has a double bed, a kitchen with everything you need. We offer basic amenities as towels, bed linen and complimentary tea, coffee, salt, pepper, oil and vinegar.
Inclosed outdoor shower on the deck and a good old fashioned long drop compost toilet.
And if you want a healing treatment I'll be there.

We had a very special stay here. The home was very clean and amenities were more than adequate. Being located at the top of a hill, it provided us with spectacular views and stunning sunsets. Our days were mostly spent hiking or in Russell, where we had once in a lifetime boat tours and our pick of which beach to park ourselves on. Mornings and evenings were spent watching the quail pass by our cabin. We listened to the kiwi at night…don’t hear that too often in Canada! Our hostess was engaging, super accommodating and very helpful. The king sized bed was a luxury.

Adeline was as very welcoming and attentive host. She kept us in supply freshly ground coffee and lent her red light torch for Kiwi spotting. The traditional NZ bach, is ideal for getting away from all the mod cons and just getting back to basics. It is well located to Russell township and the Opua ferry. Highly recommend if you are looking for a different experience to the polished hotels.

This place is a treasure! On top of a hill with AMAZING views, great hiking trails and yet still accesible to wonderful restaurants, tours in the bay and shopping [ groceries too!] The house has all you need and the hosts are helpful, wonderful and kind. We were enchanted. LOVED our stay.
