Located on the quiet beachfront road, Paseo del Mar, StuCasa is situated in the heart of Las Catalinas, within walking distance to Playa Danta, forested trails, and the town’s shops and restaurants.
Inside the home, spaces vary from expansive to intimate, beginning with the open-air kitchen, living, and dining rooms, a richly appointed indoor-outdoor hub with views of the lush, green tropical foliage and Pacific Ocean. Spend time on the front porch in cozy rocking chairs to connect with passerbys or drift back into the privacy of the spacious two-pool terrace.
For personal moments, members of large families or groups traveling together can retire to the guest house or private bedrooms to spend time with loved ones. Semi-private spaces like the entry garden and second-floor wraparound front porch provide even more space to bring people together in between daily activities.
To ensure a care-free vacation, a dedicated House mom will manage all of the tasks, preparing breakfast and light snacks with guest's ingredients, and coordinating housekeeping while you are out enjoying sunset barbecues, wine tastings in the Cava at Copper and Stone, guided mountain biking trips on the trails, or diving off the Catalina Islands.

The beautiful home is in a small, quaint, quiet little walking town, close to a few restaurants & by a hotel & other houses. We were a party of 4 couples looking for a relaxing, easy stay and we definitely got what we wanted. The house is absolutely gorgeous! Beds are comfortable, and we loved sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch, watching the ocean, and relaxing by the pool. The house momma is fabulous! She made our coffee & breakfast every morning, and cleaned the house every day. We also booked a private chef for 2 dinners at the house and both were so delicious. Highly recommend a stay here!

Food and drinks at the restaurants on property were expensive and only so-so...but the property was great. There is a bit of construction but well contained. We loved the white water raft excursion and the mountain biking on property is outstanding.

We were a party of 9 staying at Stu Casa for 7 days. It did not disappoint in the least. Outstanding accommodations, service, views and activities. The weather was perfect, no rain for entire stay. We do a family vacation each year, typically at an Oceanside resort. Las Catalinas was paradise on the Pacific. No need to rent a car. We did and it was an expensive proposition that we would not do again. The beach at Las Catalina's is grey/black sand. Very unique. We highly recommend it for a wonderful experience.

WOW! That's how our group of 12 (6 adults and 6 kids) felt as we arrived and began exploring StuCasa - it's even more amazing than it appears in the pictures. The house and surroundings at Las Catalinas are beautiful. I can't think of anything that was lacking with the house. Nice, large kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances and everything we needed to cook at home. Great outdoor spaces, including the balconies, outdoor kitchen/grill, lovely walkway between the main house and guest house, patio with fountain and of course, the pool and jacuzzi (kids were either in the pool or at the beach the entire time). Beds were comfy and the master bath with the shower that opened to the outside was a special treat. We were totally spoiled by the House Mama - breakfast and clean up every morning, laundry, general housekeeping and the best pineapple smoothies EVER! Loved being so close to the beach - easy to run back to the house if needed and the sound of the ocean was ever-present and soothing. Lots of space despite a house full of people - plenty of quite places to escape to for reading or napping and the large kitchen/dining/living area was perfect for entertaining friends who were staying in another beautiful Las Catalinas rental. The perfect place to stay for a perfect vacation in Costa Rica. Can't wait to return!
