Solsen Flexi-Stay & Motel

Location was the best suited for us. The room was beautiful and clean. Facilities were top notch. Great having a kitchenette as we stayed for 5 days for a tournament close by. Reception was so easy to get a hold of!

The walls are thin. Be prepared to hear quite a bit from neighbouring rooms. The carpark looks like it is still a work in progress once that is done then that will be awesome!!

Great location and the room is bigger than the flexi stay part. Slept well in a comfy bed.

You need card swipe for gate to enter which a pain when rain.. Long waits to get help via cellphone as there is no one at reception its like a kitchen area ….Our Room was Next to main reception door so visitors knocked on our door and attempted to come inside. The lock on our door was faulty/Indian man receptionist argumentative rude when I said it’s unacceptable and health safety issue. He said it’s safe to stay with no locked door and anyone can enter our room. He was reactive aggressive yelling sarcastic racist attitude saying me and my child should go another hotel ..i felt very unsafe …I ask if it can be fixed today no as it’s Sunday however he got a person in to fix it begrudgingly at night took ages and to fix…..I kindly ask more blankets as I get very cold (I have medical condition) he said there a limit and gave only one and use heatpump (unable to use all night due to my health condition) I ask more coat hangers he said limit to five per room. Did not get our deposit when check out as he said no staff start until 10am and we left early as travel home longways .. as he say he put my bank card however I had to get new bankcard as was scammed that week .. rude reception Indian man says they need confirmation of new bankcard details and he wanting copy of everything to refund ..I provided this via text which he ask for and he say to email instead have ph my bank as this appeared fraudulent and bank advised not to give details as they can scam me if they have my bank card …bank advised to only provide my bank account deposit slip ..will need to get another bank card issued .. still not got $100 deposit he says takes few days yet initial deposit withdrawn from my account immediately. … there only sink in bathroom to wash dishes. No vanity just one sink bathroom so unable to put toiletries there … Fridge freezer faulty froze all food in fridge which had huge blocks ice from freezer seeping in!

Prime location and very easy access to the property. Plus staff very supportive and friendly.

The property is simple neat tidy it is minimal as well as very welcoming excellent security plenty of private parking

There are 2 solsen properties next to each other 1 property is completed while the one I stayed in is still a little under construction in the parking area which doesn’t seem to be a bother at all it is a very popular motel I have stayed there in the property wi Th the unfinished construction it does not hinder. I travel to Auckland regularly from South Island and I have personally chosen the Solsen to be my always NUMBER 1 motel. Solsen Motel is on the skirts of central, west, and south Auckland very central for my needs

Very easily accessible after you've checked in. Very easy processes in place.

Rooms and bedding could have been cleaner however for the price it was suitable.

Nice staying for overnight. good price. Just the hot water is not good, as we have to take an almost cold shower. But it is summer, so it is ok.

Lovely facility, clean, tidy and wonderfully priced for amount of nights.

Housecleaning was not done for us even after we had asked. Not a huge deal but the only thing I could fault.

Walls were a bit thin and could hear the people in the rooms next door quite easily. I couldn't wash up my dishes as there wasn't any washing up liquid.

The property is 10 minutes away from the airport with a car. The room was nice and clean with big windows.

The window in the bathroom was broken and couldn’t close completely.

There’s no entry to rooms upstairs via back door. Walking to the front to enter was abit annoying.

They charged me twice! When I checked in, they charged me the full amount, and then they told Booking that I didn’t show up, so Booking charged me again for a false “no-show fee.” The accommodation doesn’t answer the phone. I lost hours of my vacation calling Booking and sending receipts to prove that I actually stayed there.

The area was perfect for me

The bed was really uncomfortable and could feel that it was 2 mattresses put together

There was no breakfast .. our sheets were changed once in the 4 nights we stayed .. one of the days the bed was not even made Nothing..!!!!!

House keeping .. not making the bed , dirty sheets .. you could hear the other people in the other rooms .. it was noisy as in outside , cars ,etc ,, location basically in the middle of nowhere

Location was great. I just needed a bed for the night. Excellent safe parking and well priced. I have stayed before but not in the new building.

I was the very first guest for the room which was great as everything was brand new but it did have a couple of small teething issues which the staff were great about. Fabulous staff.

Exceeded our expectations. Good beds, lots of space in the room, daily housekeeping. Complimentary tea and coffee, shampoo, soap, conditioner, cutlery, fridge and microwave. Very fast and reliable internet. I had 5 online meetings during my stay and had no problems. Safe parking with a gate. Definitely very good value for money. Would definitely book again.

Communication through the Booking chat was not the easiest. However, we didn't have any problems with check-in or check-out.

Have stayed at this motel a few times already, was very close to the venue I was attending.

Uber, pick up..went to the wrong entrance, 2 signs can be confusing..
