Lovely villa and as everyone else has said it is very large - I don't think we ever went upstairs to the lounge/bar/TV areas It's located in the small village of Paul do Mar, very close to the sea and harbour with some nice restaurants and a small supermarket. The pool area is lovely for relaxing and there is a choice of outdoor eating areas. During our stay it coincided with a weekend festival at the local church, a great opportunity to join in and try some local food, drink and dancing. Perfect for a relaxing break!

It is on the quiet side, so if you do want to try the main walks and towns in the area it's a 20+ minute drive, which isn't really a problem just worth knowing!

Locatie was goed met uitzicht op zee en meerdere terrassen. Goed uitgeruste keuken. Zeer ruim appartement en goed zwembad. Goede bedden.

Weinig druk op het water, waardoor douchen problematisch was. Gezien de prijs van het verblijf mag je verwachten dat dit goed zou zijn. Er was een bubbelbad, maar door lage water druk niet bruikbaar. Harde muziek van onderburen.

Wonderful space, and different areas to enjoy, the pool area and the top floor sunroom and balcony were perfect places to handout. The house is massive and had plenty of space for a family, the off street parking was also a nice addition. The pictures don't do the place justice, it's a really big property with lots space and Paul Do Mar is a fantastic place to stay, we loved it. The location is great, while the houses are all close together, it's very quiet at night, and peaceful listening to the sea.

We did have to go on a bit of a cockroach cull for the first couple of nights, but this did stop eventually, so perhaps we got them all in the end. I'm not sure this is unique to this property, as it's something reported in other coastal regions on the island. There was a strong drain smell in the smaller of the two bedrooms on the bottom floor. The house could do with some more subtle lighting, all the lights even bedside lights were quite bright and imposing. It would have been nice to have some softer lighting, as most of the lights were a very bright white light. Apart from these details we couldn't fault our stay.
