Chewuch Inn & Cabins

The inn is quaint and cozy. A lot of thought went into the design and making it feel very homey both in the private rooms and in the public areas inside and out.

At check-in, if you come in after a certain hour there isn't someone there to welcome you, you have a code to your room. However, in the morning the reception was very present and welcome.

Great cabin with kitchen, hot tub, and good breakfast.

The texts they sent to me for check-in should have included the cabins distribution map in the property. It was dark when we arrived at 8pm, we had hard time to find our cabin, good I called the phone# on the text and talked to a lady on the help line who helped me to find cabin #10. The check-in instruction sent out could include a few words such as: Cabin#1-8 are in the main building, #9-10 are behind the building which has a garage, etc. Breakfast was great. But the main food ran out around 9:10am, before 9:30am.

receptionist ShaShana (sp?) was excellent; breakfast was good; fire pit was good but an instruction sign would have been useful;; seeing deer was good; motif was good; availability of dvds, games, books, reading rm, etc. was a nice touch; maybe consider offering a smores option for the fire pit.

AC not user friendly; room square footage was tight; having to use three remotes was off-setting

The cabin has SO much potential. Beautifully built with some nice amenities. The surroundings are lovely. Perfect amount of space for a couple.

The new manager of the hotel was unfortunately pretty terrible. He told me at check in that they recently experienced a change in management and were short staffed which is understandable. Upon checking in, we found the cabin to be extremely dusty, the floor to be dirty enough that debris stuck to our feet as we walked around, and the remote for the living room TV didn't work. We let the staff know and someone came and dusted while we were away, although neither the floor or remote were addressed. The next day, we returned from breakfast and found our keypad entry to no longer be working and we were locked out of our cabin. I let the manager know and he said he'd get it fixed before we returned that afternoon. When we came back hours later, we were still locked out and it was clear that he had forgotten. He let us in and said he'd be back in 10 minutes. When he still hadn't returned 30 minutes later and we had plans to leave again soon, I couldn't find him anywhere, no answer by phone, and had to call one of the alternative phone numbers provided to get help. A sister property answered the call and sent over THEIR manager and a maintenance person. The maintenance person, Alex, was truly wonderful and really listened to our concerns and frustrations. He seemed genuinely apologetic and embarrassed about our experience. The manager of this location walked by while we were speaking with the other property's manager and the maintenance person, and continued to ignore us - never came over to find out what was going on or offer help in any way. At this point, we were very frustrated by this experience and said we'd like a refund for one of the two nights we were staying. We were told that 15% is the max refund they could offer and that would be up to the manager of our location; they said they'd run it past him. No one ever got back to us with his response, we never heard from him, and left the next day with no additional updates.
