Oceanfront at The Dawns

- Responsive host for the most part. - Nice view of the ocean. - Extra beach items provided (i.e. toys, chairs, surf boards, etc.) - Air conditioning worked really well. It was super hot in Galveston, but our unit was always nice and cool which was really nice. - Convenient location close to all of the main stuff in Galveston. - Walking distance to beach. - Nice pool areas.

- Kitchen was very small and awkward to use. Really only one person at a time can fit. - Couldn't find towels at first and after searching, we found that they were in the dryer. Would have preferred they were already folded and ready for us to use without having to hunt for them. Also, there was a limited amount of face towels- having extras would be helpful. - Bedding was not the most comfy - would recommend better comforter/sheets- these felt pretty rough. - Outside of unit was super dirty! The stairways had cobwebs, chipped paint, dust, dirt, etc. The balcony had palm tree leaves, bird poop, rust, and was in need of a paint job. Bird poop all over outside window of bedroom. - No TV in the loft area as pictures indicated, kids were disappointed. - Sliding door to balcony was super hard to open. I believe some oil or WD-40 would help. - Door code didn't work initially; however, I contacted the host and he was able to give me a code that worked so it was only a minor inconvenience when we first arrived.

The property was well organized and safe! No complaints

It’s right across the street from the ocean. The view is beautiful. The condo was clean, and comfortable. This was our first rental of a private residence, and we were happy with the experience. The host checked on us throughout our stay thru messages to make sure we had everything we needed. To future guests; it’s up to you to read the fine print and do your own due diligence to make sure any place is the right fit for your needs. There is a parking fee, which we were aware of. And there is no elevator, the condo is in the 3rd floor, which we were also aware of. I think before anyone writes negative reviews, be mindful of if it’s your fault for not being an adult & read everything, or if the property was actually negligent. Everything in the fine print was true, and we accepted the terms.
