About this house rental

Beautifully crafted, timber-frame house (constructed in 2014) offers year-round enjoyment. Sitting atop Chase Brook, the house is privately tucked away off of Mt. Ellen Access Rd, providing great privacy, but also convenient access to the best skiing/snowboarding in the Valley. Mt. Ellen is a quick quarter of a mile up the road, while Lincoln Peak (Sugarbush base) and Mad River Glen are both 3 miles away! Best of all the Mad River Bus can be caught at the end of the driveway taking you to either Sugarbush peaks. Aside from skiing, a network of trails for cross country skiing and snow shoeing in the winter or hiking and mountain biking in the summer, can be accessed just across Chase Brook. Those trails include the Mad River and Catamount Trails.

Summer is wonderful time to visit the area, with fishing, kayaking, and swimming holes and countless trails for hiking and biking nearby. Sugarbush Resort boasts a beautiful and sprawling golf course, tennis courts, and numerous summer activities for all ages.

The home has spacious accommodations with a well appointed gourmet kitchen and breakfast bar, a dining table that accommodates 6 people, a great room with a stone fireplace, and one-of-a-kind deck overlooking Chase Brook. Upstairs three bedrooms, two with queens and one with two twins, can comfortably accommodate two couples or a small family. The finished basement with sectional sofa and LED TV and DVD player provides space for children and adults to unwind. A sofa bed and sleeping loft offer even more sleeping options.

Linens and towels provided.

We are sorry we cannot offer a seasonal rental at this time.

The house was exactly as pictured - probably better :) We had everything we needed and the location was perfect for us. There was even a trailhead within walking distance from the house that was good enough for us to just get out and enjoy nature. It was a little colder than normal and rained almost every day we were there, but that meant we got to relax a bit more in the comfy chairs and couches and even had a fire one night. The stream running behind the house had lots of water from all the rain and the babbling sound was just slightly audible inside. Very peaceful! The kitchen had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable and the showers were nice and warm with good water pressure. Communication with the owners was great. You can tell that the owners love their house and we are grateful that they allowed us to stay in their home for our (too-short) vacation.

My family was lucky to catch 10" of snow for a powder filled weekend. The house is a great location to ski Mad River and Sugarbush. Clean and comfortable couldn't be happier to find this Gem.

This cabin offered the perfect holiday retreat for our family of three generations. It was very clean and spacious for our group of 4. The kitchen had everything we needed and the living space was perfect for reading and playing board games by the fire. Perfect for skiers since Mt. Ellen is just up the road. It is probably more spacious overall than the photos suggest. The interior beams, floors and woodwork are all beautifully done, as are the bathrooms. The owner is very responsive and easy to communicate with. We couldn't have asked for anything more. This place was great and we would return in a heartbeat.
