Lake Lodge

The location is beautiful, and we really liked the double doors that open into the garden from the living area. It is very dog friendly, treats, bowls, and toys were provided. A very homely feel with books, dvds, games, and magazines. (We didn't purchase the WiFi). There was a welcome pack of teas, coffees, etc. in the kitchen when we arrived, enough to last our full visit. The garden isn't fully enclosed, but the owner understood our concerns and loaned us a lawn stake to secure our dog to on her lead while we were enjoying the garden.

Unfortunately, I found the communication from Sykes frustrating and repetitive as they use booking.com as a 'middle-man'. I probably wouldn't book with a holiday home managed by them again. I wasn't aware this was the case when I booked (I didn't read the small print). This is no fault of the owner of Lake Lodge, a lovely lady who was very attentive when we arrived.

A beautiful location with stunning views. Great facilities, the fire place was lovely to have the use of. Lots of lovely touches including a amazing tea tray and toiletries. Wood was provided so we could use the fire before we got chance to buy our own which was nice.

There was nothing not to like.

Clean comfortable and very homely

There were some gaps in the hedges that were tricky as the garden was not secure for dogs.
