Matouco Country House

The house itself is quite small, but the bedrooms are a perfectly decent size. However, the outside area, with a big tiled roof providing a huge area of shade all day, is fantastic. It has its own (big)fridge/freezer, a huge table with chairs plus plates, bowls and more and a barbecue and a traditional wood-burning oven for guests to use. Not forgetting,of course, the lovely swimming pool, which was cleaned every day by the owners before we even got up. At the same time, they also emptied the rubbish from the outside area. There was a big basket full of goodies waiting for us when we arrived, as well as a variety of homemade jams and honey. And every day the lady of the house brought us bowls of fresh fruit and vegetables, straight from her own garden. The owners were friendly and helpful, without being the least intrusive. Portuguese hospitality at its best.

Accueil chaleureux, les petites attentions et la gentillesse de Rosa et Antonio. Préparation d'un dîner typique portugais et d'un gâteau. Endroit reposant et calme assuré.

O alojamento diz ser pet-friendly mas a anfitriã passou a estadia a implicar com a minha cadela e a dizer que ela metia medo e que fez buracos que não fez. Para além de que tem o seu cachorro preso sem o tirar de lá 24/24H.
