Loved the property was very convenient for walks around settle. Really comfortable of an evening after sight seeing.

Only issue my husband has bad ankles and could have done with small freezer as best way to support them is icing them when they hurt.

Upper Settle is beautiful, quiet and historic.

Parking can be challenging because of the narrowness of the lane.

Gorgeous cottage in a perfect location. Really clean and comfortable.

Description and photos of an enclosed seating area is misleading. Disappointed to find that it wasn’t attached to the property! Didn’t end up using it as it was more convenient to let our dog out on the green opposite and felt a bit awkward sitting in there opposite a row of terraces behind our place. Also, parking very tricky on a steep narrow road - would have been useful to have the info in the cottage folder in the access email.

Verblijf van drie nachten in sfeervolle cottage op interessante en mooie locatie met schitterend uitzicht en fijn bed. Vele wandelmogelijkheden vanuit huisje en dorpscentrum met pubs, musea, winkeltjes etc. op loopafstand . Grote supermarkt in het dorp en station (tip: maak een dagtrip naar Carlisle met de trein). Topweer ook 😊.

Het huisje was niet schoon. Schimmel op douchegordijn, stofnesten en rommeltjes onder en achter de meubelen, koelkast vies etc. Eigenaar, op zich aardige man, had weinig tijd en geen reservesleutel. Kwam laatste middag douchegordijn vervangen en aantal zaken schoonmaken en had bloemetje mee. Wij hadden geen zin in een dispuut, om ons toch al verminderde vakantieplezier niet verder te bederven. Dus we hebben het zo gelaten. Daarnaast is het goed te vermelden dat - gezien de situatie van steile trap en de bijzondere overstap tussen slaapkamer en badkamer - dit huisje niet geschikt is voor mensen die onvast ter been zijn.
