Canary Cottage

The location was great and the home was large enough.

The home could have been cleaner and we had an ant problem throughout the home the entire visit. The kitchen could have been better equipped with pots/pans/cookie sheets. There could have been more trash bags and paper towels available, luckily we brough our own. The wifi was not good throughout the stay, possibly because of where the home is located. The parking could have been laid out better on the sides of the home with either gravel or a pad.

The property was clean and mainly comfortable. It is not in the bustling part of Oak Bluffs, but an easy walk into the town. It is exceptionally quiet, ensuring a good night’s rest.

Outwardly, the property is not very attractive. What I assumed from the photograph, was a dirt front yard where grass had not filled in, was actually a dirt road where cars traveled. The king size bed according to our guest was hard and uncomfortable. The shower in the bathroom on the top level was too small and tight for the average person. It was smaller than a broom closet. I would recommend spraying for ants. There is no central air and heat. There are several window units. We rented the house in early June and the weather was such that we didn’t require much heat or air. However, I imagine in July and August it could be uncomfortable. The TVs need to be replaced with newer smart ones. I was unable to download the YouTube TV app.
