About this campground/ rv resort rental
Welcome to Back in Time Retreat. We hope you enjoy your stay here as much as we do. We love this little retreat in the woods on the cliff. It was a challenge to get this little gem in this beautiful location but well worth it. We started out with the vision as we looked up at the cliff and realized that beautiful spot was unutilized. With a friend, a backhoe and determination we were able to get the road up and through the cliff. From there it was a matter of establishing the water, electricity, and hard work to get this 1968 Avion travel trailer remodeled. The experience is breath taking with view of the San Francisco Peaks and other mountain ranges with a feeling of piece and alone in the woods. It is located close to Historic route 66 with views of train going through. Keep in mind there is train noise and is a part of the experience.
The main cabin on the lower section of the property is also a rental property: Parks Chalet. They are both very secluded where you cannot see one from the other even though they are on the same property.

The property is exactly what I’d hoped for, a relaxing location in the woods that is very pet friendly. The vintage trailer is nicely restored with all the amenities of home Tom the host is very responsive to questions. The train is close but the sound from them is brief.

The property was beautiful, the Avion 1968 restored trailer was so cute. We took long walks with our dog and were able to ride our RZR out in the meadow trails was fun. The proximity to the Grand Canyon and Flagstaff is so convenient , so much to do. It was great.

We are seniors and could not lug our luggage up a very short but steep, gravel track to the property. We got stuck and had an awful time backing down the twisty rut and gravel off road track. The trailer is nice and clean (we walked up and opened it up) and would be fine for a younger couple with a FOUR WHEEL DRIVE. The train passes close and blasts frequently.
