About this house rental
Valhalla on Otsego Lake is a great location convenient to Cooperstown, The Dreams Park, and Glimmerglass Festival. The name comes from the family's heritage, meaning "heaven" in Scandinavian. This waterfront home sits on one acre with 110 feet of lake frontage. The waterfront features a well-built lakeside deck for outside dining and relaxing, it's your host's favorite seat on the property! A large dock stretches out into the water and has an empty space if you bring your own boat or rent one while you are here. A swim platform is provided for your use.
Once you pull yourself away from the waterfront you will find a fully stocked ground-level apartment with its own kitchen, living area, bedroom, and bathroom. This space is great if you have a part of your group with mobility issues or who require a little extra privacy. Once on the main floor, its all about the view!! Large windows and sliding doors face Otsego Lake so you can enjoy the ever-changing view as the day progresses. Early risers will be amazed by the sunrise and the morning rising fog, midday will give you beautiful emerald-colored waters, and in the evening sunset colors are fantastic.
A second full kitchen is on the main level as well as 2 additional bedrooms and another full bathroom. You might find yourselves fighting over who washes the dishes, the view from the kitchen sink is hard to beat. Once on the upper level, you will find an open sleeping loft with a Queen bed and set of bunks, with a twin over double bed, as well as an ensuite bath. You will love waking up and looking directly out the large windows at beautiful Otsego Lake. Newly installed Central A/C in the fall of 2023!.
Your host provides 4 single kayaks, 4 kiddie kayaks, and a paddleboat for your use, as well as life jackets. Time at the waterfront will rival the memories you'll make at the ballpark. Your hosts invite you to enjoy their little slice of "heaven" while you relax and take advantage of all that Valhalla at the Lake has to offer. Yes, the setting is really quite awesome, but please remember that this property cannot support team parties or large gatherings of any kind.

The home was perfect for our family group of 8! Keith was extremely helpful and communicative! With the lake right there and dock the fishermen were out fishing very early in the morning. Lots of things to do in the area. Thank You!

Five adult friends enjoyed a fabulous long weekend in beautiful “Valhalla”. The home is wonderfully located on the lake, the views of the lake are visible from all 3 levels of the house. We were met at check in by the host who made us feel right at home, giving us some helpful information about the house and some good restaurant ideas. Our reason for heading to Cooperstown was to visit the Baseball Hall of Fame and some of the other area attractions but we enjoyed Valhalla so much that we can’t wait to return again ! The house is very homey, with plenty of bedroom, baths and living spaces. The downstairs offers a complete suite of rooms including a second kitchen. I highly recommend this home for any families or friends looking for a peaceful, relaxing, and very comfortable home for their vacation !
