Ideal for families and groups, it is located in Les Houches, just 2 minutes from the Prarion ski lifts and hiking trails. Bed linen and towels included, free parking. In France, the operation of water heaters is different from that of many other countries. Hot water is stored in a tank that can empty if there is high consumption. The time to fill and reheat the tank varies between one and five hours, depending on its capacity.
We kindly request that you avoid prolonged showers or baths, unless you are the last person to use the bathroom and can wait until the next morning to refill it.
This is an integral part of life in France, so we thank you for your understanding and consideration.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
In the UK, the electrical network is limited; if too many appliances (such as a hairdryer and a microwave) are used simultaneously, the circuit breaker may trip. In this case, it will need to be manually reset at the electrical panel.
Please avoid using multiple devices simultaneously: this system, very common in French households, aims to reduce energy consumption. We ask you to use only what you need.
***FIREPLACE***
Please note that there is a concerning amount of pollution caused by wood-burning fireplaces in the valley, we ask you not to use the fireplace for ambiance purposes. Using the fireplace is not necessary to heat the apartment, but if you think it is not warm enough, you are responsible for purchasing the necessary equipment and you will dispose of the ashes if you wish to use it.
